North Korea is sitting on $6 trillion in mineral resources

So Rocket Man, Chairman Kim Jong Un, has a whole lot of stuff sitting under his earth’s crust. While everyone depicts North Korea as this down and out country, it turns out the story is far more complicated with Billions of dollars worth of rare earth minerals for one. It has been claimed that it would be such burden for South Korea should these two ever get together. Not true apparently. Plus it has beautiful beaches that Trump would love to develop!:

It has long been regarded as a poor country.

But as it turns out North Korea is a lot richer than we thought, or at the very least has the potential to be.

North Korea has mineral resources estimated to be worth at least $6 trillion, according to Quartz, and the secretive state is sitting on a vast array of mineral resources which remains largely untapped including iron, gold, magnesite, zinc, copper, limestone, molybdenum and graphite.

Its bedrock also holds a large amount of metals needed to make smartphones and other technological products.

But while the isolated nation might be rich in underground resources, taking advantage of the buried treasure this remains another issue.

But a 2012 estimate by a South Korean research institute valued its mineral wealth as high as $10 trillion, The Economist reported.

Once again we see how the glories of communism outshines the failed capitalist system. It would seem to followers of socialist icons like Bernie- my wife is not a criminal-Sanders et al, starving millions of people is preferred to three squares and electric lights for the masses. After all we need only look at Venezuela, once the richest country in south America a country with some of the planet’s greatest oil reserves. Thanks to communism it has joined its sister country NOKO in starving its population. See, communism does work. Now that little rocket man may have seen the light and choose to bring his country into the 21st century he too may become a target for the left’s insane hate and scorn. Meanwhile tourists will continue to bring their suitcases loaded with clothes and toothpaste and chewing gum and crackers and deodorant and shampoo and american dollars leaving these items for the destitute of the workers paradise of Cuba and leaving with emptied suitcases and only the clothes on their backs. Viva la revolution! again we see communism lives up to its promise of equality for all; except for the elites who have more money and more assets than the Clintons have stolen these past years as they fight for America’s poor and downtrodden..

Beautifully written… yet so many cannot see the lessons of history. Not yesterday’s, but todays. And no one talks about the purges of millions, the gulags, and this is as far as they can get?
It looks like NK could be the a jewel in SE Asia. Let us hope Rocket Man has gotten the light. I am hopeful. I cannot believe he himself wants to live out his days as it is today.
