Trey Gowdy, Judge Napalitano flip on Trump – ‘Mueller doing it by the book’

MSNBC via Morning Joe and Mika, CNN, CBS, et al, were ecstatic with the Trey Gowdy road show. He is making the rounds on TV with his take on the Mueller investigation.

Mueller is “following the book” with his investigation so he says.

Gowdy is packing up his swamp bags this year and calling it a day as far as Congress goes. Just setting himself up for the usual big bucks to follow. Gowdy.

I thought he was one of the good guys. But then, that is what I thought about Sessions. Even worse, Napalitano was more than happy to flip as well.  His comment that Gowdy had seen  the documents apparently thus changed his mind, when in fact nothing was produced last Friday. Just the Swamps view of the world.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) recently suggested the FBI did nothing wrong when it used at least one government informant to secretly collect information on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Public reports indicate, however, that Gowdy never even reviewed the relevant documents on the matter subpoenaed by Congress. In fact, a spokeswoman for Gowdy told The Federalist that the congressman doesn’t even know what documents and records were subpoenaed by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

The briefing Gowdy and other lawmakers attended was scheduled at the behest of the White House after the Department of Justice (DOJ) obstructed the subpoena.

Activists and journalists were thrilled with Gowdy’s comments exonerating the FBI, claiming they “debunked” any concerns that people have about FBI behavior. CNN’s Manu Raju claimed, without providing evidence, that Gowdy had “seen the intel.”

Here we have Napolitano on Gowdy’s disputing of Trump’s ‘spygate’ claims. Included clips from the field day the MSM is having with it.

I guess we knew this was coming. Earlier this year:

In the end Gowdy is part of the swamp, which explains why for all of his investigations nothing ever came from them. And now this defending of the spy while acting as if he saw the documents when he did not. What a disappointment he turned out to be.

I have to say Napolitano has quite often come down negatively on Trump’s behavior. Very often. So his input here didn’t surprise me as much as Gowdy has. But at least he keeps it on FOX and doesn’t take the opportunities to appear on CNN or MSNBC. I’m stunned at Gowdy, I really am. He and other Republicans so often go to CNN or MSNBC when it’s negative on Republicans.
I ask again, what does Gowdy mean when he says “It has nothing to do with Trump”? It sounds like he’s exonerating Trump…what am I missing?
Odd about some sex scandal hypotheses….what the…? Not sure about that…I will say, however, it’d be stunning if the leftwingers weren’t even more into scandal than the R’s are…the only thing that would surprise me MORE is if the Dems were forced into retirement for anything they do.

A lengthy lead but worth the time. It would seem the bottom line here is once Trump is out whether in 20’ or 24’ the next sure to be democrat administration will have zero constraints or opposition to its flaunting the law and/or in your face breaking the law. Unlike the Socialust Hitler who had to embrace the German industrialists to gain absolute power before turning on them and dissolving all trade unions, grabbing their assets and imprisoning the union leaders, the corporations and the unions will be ready made acolytes and extensions of the democrat administration and the soon to be one party system. A common sense understanding of history will tell us what the logical extension of a socialist america will be: equality for all and food for some. Genocide….

CA has done it with the one party. Top two vote getters in the primary go on the the general.. Thus two Dems will run…once this goes Nationwide, there will be no two party system.

RE THE CALIFORNIA PRIMARY: Only liberals like the California “primary” system which guarantees a liberal run-off. COX is gaining ground (tho I can’t stand the man, most of us California Conservatives feel Allen is better but hasn’t a chance) and I recently got a flier saying basically that COX IS TOO LIBERAL! COX IS SUPPORTED BY SOROS! COX GAVE PELOSI MONEY! guess who, in very very fine print, is listed as having paid for the fliers; Liberal Ex Mayor Villaraigossa’s people 🙂
Lots of that going on! SO, COX does have a chance…….pray HARD!!

Re your article and Gowdy; I’m not sure I’ll EVER believe any Republican again. Rubio, too…with his yammering about separating the children of illegals from their parents. If a parent sells drugs or robs a home, the kids are taken away. This is what happens when you do something ILLEGAL, Mr. Rubio….stop padding your foreign voter numbers for your next silly try to be president. (And I was for him for a while???!!!).

        Hey Geez,
Rubio always reminded me of Menendez ( whom I used to know personally many moons ago) here in NJ. Although one is a D and the other an R both played the Cubano race card, a strategy not exclusive to the former but now freed plantation politicians. The both of them are full of arroz y frijoles.,

Peter…your Menendez fellow is under water last I read….Z I will pray hard for CA. No one is what they seem these days. I guess we were meant to go through all this so maybe we could put our tin foil away and people would get enlightened, but the MSM is controlling the narrative.

I love a good mystery, so when I read something the other day about 38 members of the House suddenly retiring, because of the possibility that their names are linked to a sex scandal, I had to smile. Who doesn’t love a great conspiracy theory? In Gowdy’s case, it isn’t just that he’s leaving the house; he’s also flipped his position about Mueller and the FBI probe; he’s no longer interested in Clinton emails. Well, this would all make perfect sense if the Clinton Foundation (or some other Soros funded entity) has damaging information about Gowdy and 37 other members of the House, who quite suddenly want to go back home. American politics is a cesspool. I know this because everyone associated with the national government is a drut.

I got the same funny feeling as well. I saw the “see related” post pop up when making a comment. Is Gowdy Brutus… he intentionally made sure no notes were taken during a hearing regarding Uranium one. That was the “tell.” I mentioned in the post that Gowdy had been on Trump’s tail all week. Napalitano? Now that is even a bigger one… he said he had talked to Gowdy before his appearance… what did he tell him and why has he turned.. thats the question.

GIwdy us festhering his nest for the many paydays to come once he leaves congress. Back in the late 60’s during a concert at NY’s Madison Square Garden Jim Morrison during a soliloquy said (paraphrasing) I dreamed “I was sitting on a fence, one side was night and one side day, and my balls hurt.”
The difference is that fence sitters like Gowdy have no balls so they feel nothing.
