CIA Gina Haspel – Are we in the Matrix and going down the rabbit hole?

 

For those who watched the CIA hearing of candidate Gina Haspel, you had the choice of what Morpheus offered Neo in the film The Matrix. I include two clips. The Kamala Harris interrogation and The Matrix.

The questioning of Gina Haspel’s morality and feelings seemed to be the focus of the Democrats. Morality? Haspel, the woman who was shot at and saved the bullets from her car for a souvenir. Who was undercover making drops and who knows what else. Who knowingly and willingly would give her life for us. What on earth to you think happens in these postings of CIA operatives stationed in what they term as “Garden Spots.” The hell holes of the world, trying their best to keep us safe and many other things that are supposed to support America via clandestine activities. The Committee members acknowledged that what they learn most days keep them up at night.

So using the film “The Matrix” let us bounce off the theme of the film without giving away the ending.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA): “Can you please answer the question?” CIA Director Nominee Gina Haspel: “Senator, I think I’ve answered the question.” Sen. Harris: “No, you have not. Do you believe that the previous techniques, now armed with hindsight, do you believe they were immoral?”
