What happened to Trump’s ‘Art of the Deal’ as he caves on immigration reform

Anyone else out there as confused as I am about Trump and his position on immigration, the wall, DACA and the rest of the upcoming “Bill of Love?”  Tucker went bonkers at the beginning of the show with clips that clearly indicated that Trump had gone wobbly. Then at the end of the show, Brit Hume was brought in for a minute for his take which contradicted Tucker’s take on the whole thing. Hume claimed that “Trump was confused about what a clean DACA bill would be.”  That being the proposal by none other that traitor Feinstein. Laura Ingraham seemed happy enough with the day, exuding her relief that Trump’s mental state appeared to be A-OK as he did an open televised meeting with top leaders from both sides. With that I shut off the T.V.  From what I saw of most of the hearing, I was ready to throw in the towel. Trump appeared like an ass in my book. Glad Mark Levin felt the same way. Tucker too.

Levin SLAMS Trump Statement On Immigration: “That’s No Art Of The Deal, That’s Complete Surrender”

Here is Tucker Carlson

We don’t know if Trump caved on anything. If he gives in the wall, visa lottery, chain migration, anchor baby, then he is toast in 2020. This is one of the top 2 issues if not the #1 issue for his supporters. I just don’t see it happening.

Depending on what #’s you believe there are from 700k to 2 mil DACA people. If he deported those with criminal records and kept the rest on condition they stay clean then built the wall, and went ganbusters on the remaining 33 mil illegals, he’d be forgiven.

I haven’t paid any attention to any of this because it’s just a beginning. However, I’m leaning heavily toward Rush’s take on the situation. I did not watch the meeting, did not listen to Tucker, and Levin is a hysteric too much of the time to bother with.

IMO the meeting was a dog and pony show and Trump pulled it off (what I know about it) masterfully.

We are getting mixed reports on this, I guess we won’t know the truth until a deal is struck. Isn’t it interesting that Trump channeled Jeb Bush’s “act of love” and turned it into “bill of love?” I am worried about this but if Trump does end chain migration, crack down on illegal immigration by enforcing the laws and ends catch and release, and if he puts more patrol on the border it might be the best we can hope for in return for DACA.

The only thing that matters if they will all get the vote… the rest is meaningless. Florida has hundreds of thousands from PR…. Florida will go Dem… Arizona is iffy.. They are dumping them into PA… Arizona on the edge.. Game over if they can pull these electoral votes and all of this will be moot.. we will go back to the sam ways with no chance of recovery

“Let us pray…” Because Rush’s take on it was my take, too. He got Dems, the most hateful among them, too, to show they’re not that interested in keeping immigrants OUT, quite the contrary, and that doesn’t go over well with MANY in America, not even legal Hispanics, folks. (to quote Rush, come to think of it!)
No, Trump got his intelligence and negotiating ability SEEN (particularly after the book that says he’s a moron) and he got the Left to reveal themselves…….
And, Bunkerville, as I said to you at my place (thanks for coming by) I firmly believe that he will NOT take any bill and sign it and “take the heat”…no, not unless it’s something HE WANTS.
again….I could be wrong, so “let us pray…!” 🙂

Bunkerville..did you see Pence on McCallum’s show this evening? He said NO WAY was Trump going to sign any bill just to sign it….he was reassuring. Again “let us pray!” 🙂

    Trump’s Tweet after the meeting:

As I made very clear today, our country needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval.

Makes me ask: “What happened after the cameras left?”

It is my understanding that the cameras weren’t there for the end of the meeting.

Anyway, we’ll see what happens. No bill was signed yesterday, so there is still time for Trump to re-energize his base.

Head scratching and confusion reign supreme as Trump seemingly is chasing his tail once again. I listened to Mark Levin’s show last evening and agreed 100% with his take on this. Then last night at 9:00 PM, on my drive home, I tuned in to the John Bachelor show. His guest was Larry Kudlow, with whom i agree 90-95% of the time along with another guest whose name escapes me. Kudlow and Bachelor both more conservative than not put a positive and happy spin on Trump’s display of nearly total surrender to the most corrupt assemblage in history from both sides of the aisle. What is going on has become a rhetorical question given the demunists and RINO’s are now as one. Should Trump do what we fear he might do the day may come at last when republicans and conservatives stay home come election day 2018 and 2020. As a Chinese philosopher from the 13th century said, It is better to be hated for whom you are rather than loved for whom you are not. Come 2021 we may yet have our first president in the nations short history’s on weight watchers. Buy and hold!

Trump has wandered in the wilderness on this topic all through his campaign…his kiddies apparently have been told to shut up since there never was an illegal that they didn’t think was a good cause…. he will sell us out on the big one… Mark this post and this date.

I saw the whole Trump meeting and Tucker thing last night…and Tucker really did not go thru the whole “talk” that Trump had with the folks sitting there…I am in agreeing with Brittius with this…I think Trump is playing everybody involved and is cunning enough to do so. I’m not sure where this will lead up, but enough is enough. I think he gets the pulse of America and the DACA issue. Its no easy fix, I just wish someone had enough kahunas to say, “ENOUGH! YOUR OUTTA HERE! PERIOD! YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR OUTTA HERE!”

Tucker was on my nerves last night. Just saying. If your going to have an opinion or tell the story then tell it in whole, not partially. Uusally he is really good at telling the whole story, but last night, he wasn’t.

Reblogged this on Brittius and commented:
Actually, it is a cunning move, as some people are questioning mental fitness, this indicates that he possesses faculty sufficient to understand and address the issue in an amicable and businesslike manner.
It also means that the nation is overrun by illegals and offspring of illegals. If twelve million illegals are suspected of being in America, figure three (or more) children and the numbers are multiplied by three (or more).
For his kindness, expect the president to be backstabbed at the ballot box in 2020.

I apparently am in disagreement with many of my fellow bloggers. To say he would accept a clean DACA bill proffered by none other than Feinstein didn’t do anything for my take on his mental health….it may be cagey… sometimes one can be two clever by twice/

It goes like this, Trump has not delivered full on what he promised, and it all started at the beginning when he allowed BHO personnel to be on his staff and in multiple positions. Those advising him, will have input which belongs to not only BHO, but the entire Marxist/NWO/Soros/Et.Al., program. I do not believe that he is dancing on eggs at this time however, I do believe that he is acutely aware that many people, democrats and RINOs, would love to get rid of him one way or the other (permanently), therefore he starts listening and softens his position. The entire matter could be eliminated as fears would be ended if, (wait for it) Constitutional Carry, were in fact authorized, because, everyone would protect themselves, and their property.

What would also be beneficial, is if, any acceptance of children of illegals, in general there was to be an elimination of welfare and food stamps, plus a reduction in other perk benefits such as medical and college tuition. A legal provision could also be included where if any of the dreamers are arrested for a felony and/or any demonstration against the US Government, they get tossed, with no return. Let them learn to be good residents/citizens. There will also be pressure on congress to make English the official language, because all those people want, to stay here.

Should this infamnia come to pass Trump’s mental faculties will be lauded by the left until of course the ink dries . America is literally, no longer figuratively, a welfare state. Anyone who has spent time in NY, NJ, and CA et al, should agree the true illegal figure is 30-40 million. Thirty years ago Reagan’s amnesty program bailed out 8-11 million, a whimsical figure at best.

For both of you….. at the least he is leaving the GOP out to dry by his strategy. See I have clean hands… meanwhile the whole house is up for re-election and a whole bunch of GOP Senators… Meanwhile he said at the meeting he is willing to take the heat. He was all over the map at the meeting and I stand where I stand…… 🙂 Great discussion everyone..
