Are we doomed to Orwell’s ‘1984?’

I don’t have much to offer today. Plum wore out. I leave this with you for a Friday.

And of course this from my stash of old stuff.

From the 2003 Television docudrama: George Orwell – A Life in Pictures. A reminder from George Orwell.  This is where we are.

Ahh just wrote about this! Totally agree, honestly. Read this book a couple of years back and was shocked at such a prospect, and now it feels we’re drawing near… Thanks for sharing🙂

I read 1984 in high school (in the 1960s) and remember being horrified that anything like that could be remotely possible. Yet, here we are.

    I’m worn out, too.

Taking a break in a few days. Perhaps Warren will take over in my absence.

Eric Blair (George Orwell) was a socialist … one who saw the light. Here in America, we are fighting against the educationalists who are making our children the dumbest people on the planet. If we were an educated people, if we were intellectually gifted, if we were attuned to current events, we would join together and mount a national campaign against what is going on inside publicly financed classrooms.

Oh, Bunker, what a coincidence. I just quoted Orwell’s Animal Farm to someone in a comment on another site.

This whole Charlottesville thing – there are no ‘good guys’ among those groups, just like in the ME. They are extremists. As long as extremists stay peaceful, there’s no problem. When extremists get violent, the solution – the only effective solution – is to come down hard, fast, and definitive. It must be done for all extremists – neo-nazis, antifa, blm – no exceptions.

One cannot say one group of extremists is worse than another. The ideology doesn’t matter. Hate and violence is hate and violence no matter who the perpetrator is. Trying to find a moral high ground in extremism only gets one dead. The extremists don’t care. They believe everyone who isn’t ‘with them’ is the enemy.

At least the the so called right believes what they espouse. The left or antifa only bringing about the destruction of the USA.. they don’t care one wit nor have any belief other than that. Therefore, the right has the moral high ground. We know what they are about and are clear about their hate. Antifa… no.

I so agree with you, Laura. I do not subscribe to white supremacy, but I have to ask why a group of Americans, no matter what their bent, who are seeking to preserve our history (e.g., the civil war) are classified as extremists simply because there are others who demand revisionist history. Let’s keep our eye on the facts: this one group had approval for staging a demonstration, while the other group did not. The Antifa group intended to incite violence; one person died (one of their own, I’m told … and by one of their own). If we do not stand up to these idiots, then we will in time see our history modified to fit the leftist narrative. I will resist this with every fiber of my being. True Americans MUST resist.

✨ THIS TOO SHALL PASS ✨

I was amazed at how many top CEOs were on the side of the Communist group Antifa

Even going as far as donating big bucks to them

It gave me something very important to think about

Because through my purchasing of their products/services I would be supporting Antifa along with those Companies

Agree…. and these companies are more than happy to have a reason to get away from Trump. All their crap being made in China with Trump bearing down.Drug companies under attack for plundering the USA…. yea, that was not a match made in heaven.

Bunker, one theory (CTH) is that the CEOs were working with President Trump in the hopes that they could sway him away from his agenda. They were never on board with his plans, they wanted a chance to change his mind. They were always going to abandon him and the People of the US – those CEOs never wanted to MAGA.

Charlottesville just provided the cover for their deceit and betrayal.

I was going to comment on how comforting it is knowing fake news and Bolsheviks are driving the markets. Imagine if this government had the balls to round up this handful iof agitators, handcuff them to shopping carts in the ACLU HQ parking lot and then pay Kim Fat F__k Un a few billion to deliver a greeting card to them and their attorneys.

The visual once again exceeded expectations but you are right. All they need to do his round up a couple of hundred and that would be that….. Calling Mr. Sessions, anyone out there in the DOJ? No he is saving the cities from MS-13 like I give a you know what for them

About these CEOs … they are the same nimrods who caved-in to Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition. We should refuse to do business with companies who adopt anti-Americanism for no other reason than it is a good business to kiss the asses of black racketeers. Aaaarghhhh!

For those of you not privy to NY/NJ/CT local news, yesterday a plaque honoring Robert E Lee was taken down from a Brooklyn church and today two statues, Robert E Lee and Stonewall Jackson were removed from a NY state college by order of democrat governor Andrew Cuomo, a rumored contender for the 2020 democrat presidential primary. In addition several streets were renamed. Maybe we should rename all streets MLK street, blvd, Ave, lady ne, alley, highway, freeway, concourse and be fine with it.

Plum worn out here as well…which, I think is what they want us folks to feel so we can just give in. We were discussing something similar last night to the 1984 Orwellian topic. I have had enough, I want all the MLK streets, BLVD, and such gone. I find that offensive, how’s that for apples? (grinning)—just proving the point we all have issues, but the majority of us do not act out like fools. Enough already. As a History major, I find all this despicable, especially the likes of Cory Booker, Pelosi, just to name a couple. I applaud the President for standing up and tweeting-he speaks the truth, 100%. To bad these pansies in DC are pandering.

What’s next for the Bolshevist snarchists, adopting John Lennons” “Imagine” as their battle cry? Why not since hypocrisy rules the day.

Reblogged this on Brittius and commented:
By and large, the majority of us do not have anything to fear, as we have seen better times in past years and decades. The leftists have a lot to fear, because their existence is a result of their own idleness. In time to come, should the Leftists control everything and tear everything down, they will turn on themselves, gnawing at one another like a pack of rats.
I wonder if Charlottesville and the sudden paid Leftist rioting and bad behavior has anything to cover up this gem:
