D.C. Court smacks down Trump in attempt to overturn Obama made EPA ‘Rule’

The USA had now turned into nothing less than a country ruled by Progressives courts. Obama made a rule that some bureaucrat, not Congress, made and the D.C. Court in a 9-2 decision does not permit Trump to over turn it. This is just the beginning. The friendly Obama loaded  D.C. Court will strike down more of Trump’s roll backs no doubt. Hopes for Obamacare rule roll backs can be forgotten:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must enforce a rule regulating methane emissions the Trump administration repealed earlier this year, a federal court ruled Monday night.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia made the ruling after the court decided in July that the EPA unlawfully delayed acting on former President Barack Obama’s methane rule, which sets greenhouse gas emission levels and requires the energy industry to fix leaks.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt sought a two-year pause on the rule so the agency could “look broadly” at a host of Obama-era rules. The oil and gas industry opposes the regulation, arguing it’s unnecessary and duplicative of already existing rules. The industry also self-regulates methane leaks.

Without reading all the comments, I just need to express my anger that the courts run our country now, not our elected POTUS. The EPA is only one of many agencies that need to be closed down sooner rather than later. Grrrrrrrr!! I had such high hopes with my vote for President Trump.

I don’t think many of us figured Congress would put every possible road block in his way.

This is what we can expect for the next three years, everything will be challenged and the courts will rule our country. I would like to see Trump just ignore this ruling because this is not a law passed by the Congress, Obama created a rule while he was President and nothing was said about it. Trump writes a rule and suddenly he cannot do it. This is insane!

I agree. Better for us to be dependent of Middle East oil and have energy prices go through the roof! I wish he did have the you know what to disregard the court action. It will be endless. Just like holding back funds for sanctuary cities.

Well, the good news is that federal courts have no enforcement powers, so if you have a president with balls …

Excellent point, up until now no. Trump let some Hawaiian judge stop his so called intense “vetting.”

Next up the Supremes. This was the full D.C. Appeals court. Years until they get it if they take it.

How much money did the oil and gas industry pump into democrat coffers during the Obama years? This is their payback. Surely they can’t wait to support the next socialist progressive democrat who will do the industry more harm. The world turned upside down….

This is what the D.C Court of Appeals will do each and every time now with any of the “Rules” that Trump attempts to overturn. This story actually will impact us more that any Russian infiltration. Watch the gas prices rise… Putin is very happy.

Admittedly I’m ignorant about the process, but can’t Trump just get rid of the judges and appoint someone(s) with common sense?

My understanding is that judges are there for the duration. Done so that they don;’t feel political pressure. The D.C. court is the most troublesome. There were many vacancies and were left that way because it was felt it was not busy enough. As I recall most are Obama appointees. But Obama changed that and did what Roosevelt wanted to do… stack the court since most of these types of government actions come before them.

Judges can be impeached by Congress. Because the EPA itself is unconstitutional, and because the EPA has no legitimate authority, the agency is illegal. So sick of this rubbish…I know you are, too.

Not just oil and gas but also the coal Industry pumped many $$$ to Obama

But let’s face it they were duped just like the American people were where Obama is concerned

Many were clueless to what Obama had in mind with his hope and change

Unless of course you were part of those of us who actually read up on Obama and saw his true colors
