Trump repeals coal mining regulations, signs legislation

If you missed the presser yesterday, you really missed some great theatre.  A little reported action done right after his presser was this action. This was another IED the Obama administration implanted in December as he was going out the door. It essentially closed down coal mining in Appalachia. This is why Trump won. Five seconds of Clinton: “We’re Going To Put A Lot Of Coal Miners And Coal Companies Out Of Business”

President Trump on Thursday signed legislation ending a key Obama administration coal mining rule.

The bill quashes the Office of Surface Mining’s Stream Protection Rule, a regulation to protect waterways from coal mining waste that officials finalized in December.

The legislation is the second Trump has signed into law ending an Obama-era environmental regulation. On Tuesday, he signed a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution undoing a financial disclosure requirement for energy companies.

Both the mining and financial disclosure bills are the tip of a GOP push to undo a slate of regulations instituted in the closing days of the Obama administration. The House has passed several CRA resolutions, and the Senate has so far sent three of them to President Trump for his signature. More at The Hill

Republicans argued the stream rule is duplicative and would force more coal mines to close, forcing more miners out of work. Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota supported the rule’s repeal.

The Obama administration finalized the stream rule in December 2016. Democrats and environmentalists support the rule because it restricts the amount of mining that can happen in Appalachia.

This is great news which went under the radar because the MSM was so focused on what Trump did to them. I didn’t see it but I heard quite a few clips and it sure was entertaining.
Trump is winning over these people and if he does it will be hard for the Democrats to win anytime in the near future.

True enough. Actually it looks like a number of these bills have been passed without mention. Anyone who is concerned about his job will be a “pick” for Trump regardless of party.

One of CNN’s women is reporting that Admiral Harward told a friend he wouldn’t work at this “chaotic” WH and that working there would be a “S*** sandwich”……. Of course, CNN doesn’t report WHO it was. Typical….Just a sampling of the hideous disgusting unprofessional and dangerous reporting of the Left again.

Z… the media is taking it over the top which may be good in the end. They are setting up their own demise. I managed a bit of Morning Joe this morning. Wow.. can’t go there again. It will be interesting to see the ratings from this week

I want to reply to your last comment re Morning Joe but there are no more REPLY options so here I am 🙂

MORNING JOE has banned Kellyanne Conway from their show because they don’t want FAKE INFORMATION there….Mika’s smirks for anything Republican got to me a few years ago so I can’t watch them anymore. Now on CNN, all the hosts have a smirk on their face whenever anyone says the slightest positive thing about Trump.
I think all this IS a good thing; Peter King did a dandy job this morning…I believe most Americans are getting tired of the constant HATE.

The pissants in the press were overmatched by President Trump yesterday and left with their collective thumbs up their collective asses. Lets hope this is the beginning of the decapitation of these Obama/Clintonbots and not just another one time occurrence. The boys were caught with their dresses undone and the girls with their pants down. This pressed was the best entertainment I at least have seen for quite a while.

I totally agree. I just happened to have Fox on, and heard he had decided to call it. What a time. I was totally transfixed on the action. I hope anyone who didn’t catch it looks it up over the weekend. Worth the price of admission.
