Obama places ammo ban on Federal lands on last day.

Just a little something as Obama walks out the door. Thought that we were done with this nonsense from this administration, but should have figured one more kick.

The Washington Beacon reports:

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe, an Obama appointee, ordered a new ammunition ban for certain federal lands on Thursday–his last full day in office.

The ban, which took effect immediately, eliminates the use of lead-based ammunition on federal lands like national parks and wildlife refuges, as well as any other land administered by the Fish and Wildlife Service. The ban is expected to have a major impact on much of the hunting that takes place on federal lands across the United States as lead-based ammunition is widely legal and used throughout the country.

Ashe said the order was necessary to protect wildlife from exposure to lead.

Gun rights activists expressed outrage at the last-minute move, labeling it political. The National Shooting Sports Foundation called for the agency’s next director to immediately rescind the order.

Let us go down a bit of memory lane and what our government is doing. Earlier post:

Hey great article, nicely written! Not a great last move on Obama’s part, it has to be said…

Also check out my blog about my first season as a beater! check it out at tootinghustle.wordpress.com

It offers my opinion on hunting as a sport. I’d love to get your opinion on it 🙂

Well this one slipped under the radar, good find! Trump ordered a halt on federal regulations until further notice, I am hoping they will review and reverse many of the last minute regulations and this is one that needs to go.

This one is so annoying coming on the last full day. They have to know that it would probably be overturned, but just wanted to stir us up.

Exactly, but Obama is gone now and I am not going to let him get me worked up any more! 🙂

I can’t get my head around the things that Obama does, but I think this is understandable because I can’t even get my head around single-celled creatures such as Debbie Wasserperson-Schultz, Liz Warren, or any of the seriously retarded females marching in Washington today.

You have to know it killed me to have to do one more Obama post when I was committed that the last one was my final. But this one? Couldn’t let it go. Too asinine.

I know I’m wrong because even our gov’t isn’t this stupid, but isn’t this like preventing a dying patient from too much morphine?
The animals being shot ARE GOING TO DIE, right? And we can’t expose them to LEAD?? and, if a shot misses, and a lead bullet is lying on the ground, can an animal EAT IT and then be exposed to lead? EAT A BULLET??
I must be reading this story wrong, RIGHT?

Right but I still don’t get how animals are EXPOSED TO LEAD unless they’re being SHOT…then what’s the difference? They’re not going to die of lead poisoning..they were SHOT to death! Is it MEEE???!!!

This is from a January 18th Daily Caller article. http://dailycaller.com/2017/01/18/trump-to-immediately-sign-as-many-as-200-executive-orders/

Republican lawmakers are pushing legislation making it easier to repeal last-minute “midnight” regulations from federal agencies, and a bill mandating costly regulations get congressional approval before becoming law.

Okay, class, who can point out the Constitutional violations in this sentence???

How about bills come before regs? Why not take the time and write a decent bill that is not subject to interpretaiton from the King>

“Ashe said the order was necessary to protect wildlife from exposure to lead.” No, it’s about trying to totally ban firearms and hunting. Gosh, it never ends with these people. Well, as y’all said, it will be rescinded.
And I’m also thankful that he didn’t pardon Berghdahl or Clinton or many other wicked lawbreakers. Fox News claims it’s not over for her. She’s still in hot water. I say, let’s turn up the heat.

Love it Sparky. I would say once an animal has a load of shot in it, it is probably pretty much ready for the pot. Though I have to admit, chewing on buckshot is hard on the teeth!! 🙂

…and it will get rescinded…his first order of business should be (and I do believe it was–according to the foreign news) was rearming our missile defense system with nuclear warheads, Obama had ordered a stand down of them–that man has done so much damage. chanting{{{{}}}} AMERICA FIRST.

On a good note, glad to see he didn’t pardon Bergdahl or Clinton. wink.

I agree with you as to it being rescinded and yes figured Bergdahl has big problems now. Trump is not going to give him a free ride.
