I’m sorry, but this seems so orchestrated. I am no fan of the Pope. Mainly because it appears that his Marxism seems at times to supersede any resemblance of a religious leader. But that has been covered before. Pope Francis role during Argentina’s ‘Dirty War’ come back again? — bunkerville March 13, 2013.
Essentially, this drumbeat about fake news simply is the first step in justifying censorship. So while Progressives rale against the right and its authoritarian bent, it is the Progs who are taking it to a dangerous level.
I throw in as well the short version of Hillary telling us the danger of fake news. That is the joke of the day. Here we go:
Media that focus on scandals and spread fake news to smear politicians risk becoming like people who have a morbid fascination with excrement, Pope Francis said in an interview published on Wednesday.
Francis told the Belgian Catholic weekly Tertio that spreading disinformation was “probably the greatest damage that the media can do” and using communications for this rather than to educate the public amounted to a sin.
The Argentine-born pontiff excused himself for using such terms in order to get his point across while answering a question about the correct use of the media.
“I think the media have to be very clear, very transparent, and not fall into — no offense intended — the sickness of coprophilia, that is, always wanting to cover scandals, covering nasty things, even if they are true,” he said.
He also spoke of the danger of using the media to slander political rivals.
“The means of communication have their own temptations, they can be tempted by slander, and therefore used to slander people, to smear them, this above all in the world of politics,” he said. “They can be used as means of defamation…”
“No one has a right to do this. It is a sin and it is hurtful,” he said.

Here we have the ultimate purveyor of “Fake News.” But then again, what difference does it make?
Hillary Clinton said fake news is an “epidemic” and “a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly” while attending a portrait unveiling on Capitol Hill, in honor of retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

Fake news = another variant of “sit down and shut up”. As you say, typical of the progs.

We are headed down a dangerous path. Soon they must come for the bloggers and only bloggers on the right. Because it is only they who are purveyors of “fake news.”

The Pope needs to butt out of politics and minister to the flock.

Speaking of fake news: Will Zero use John Glenn’s death as an opportunity to praise Glenn and criticize the racist space program. After turning NASA into Muslim outreach program this would make a great show of dropping the other shoe..

Boy, the Pope saying that Fake News is a sin is the pot calling the kettle black. The Catholic church has perfected fake news and beliefs for centuries. They’re a cult (derived from the ancient pagan worship of the false goddess Diana and others from Babylon times). They’ve never had anything to do with Christianity and never will.

Amen to THAT!!!!! For the Pope to talk about fake news when he puts a false spin (and then some!) on things biblical is beyond hypocrisy.

This pope has made a mockery of the papacy as has his fellow traveler done for the office of the presidency. At least we the people are able to correct this obamanation (pun intended) while the Catholic Church is stuck with this imposter of a pope until he drops dead if old age. As an American and a Catholic both men offend me. Fake men fake news.

“…covering nasty things, even if they are true,” he said. So he even goes out and says to forget covering news if “perceived” as nasty… even if true? That pretty much covers anything and everything. Didn’t the Catholics have a stamp they put on books that were approved to be read? I’m not Catholic but as I recall……

While I can’t be certain that Pope Francis will end up proving to be the Antichrist’s False Prophet [check my books or blog if interested in going down that rabbit hole]… he certainly seems to betray western values and the Catholic Church values he is supposed to represent. Fortunately America did not end up with Hillary as president; maybe the West can turn the tide away from criminals and hypocrites.

He sure isn’t any fan of Western values in my opinion. I just wish he would open up the walls and let in the refugees into his State.
