New York City has intentionally caused the traffic nightmare

This makes “Bridgegate” small potatoes in New Jersey. There has been the full throttle attempt to snarl traffic in New York City for years we now learn. If you had any thought that the Progressives were absolutely evil, this should be your confirmation. Back in 2010 we heard what Lahood with the Department of Transportation had in mind for us nationally. Bloomberg and deblasio no doubt got big bucks for New York City in turning the traffic into chaos. And they complain about Trump causing traffic problems?

Back in 2010 I wrote a post LaHood: “We are going to “Coerce” people out of their cars

LaHood signed the new policy directive on March 11. “This is the end of favoring motorized transportation at the expense of non-motorized.”

On May 21, LaHood told reporters at the National Press Club that the “Partnership for Sustainable Communities’ his department had formed with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Housing—sometimes known as the “livability initiative”–was designed to “coerce” people out of their cars.

Time for some traffic problems in Manhattan!

City officials have intentionally ground Midtown to a halt with the hidden purpose of making drivers so miserable that they leave their cars at home and turn to mass transit or bicycles, high-level sources told The Post.

Today’s gridlock is the result of an effort by the Bloomberg and de Blasio administrations over more than a decade of redesigning streets and ramping up police efforts, the sources said.

“The traffic is being engineered,” a former top NYPD official told The Post, explaining a long-term plan that began under Mayor Mike Bloomberg and hasn’t slowed with Mayor de Blasio.

“The city streets are being engineered to create traffic congestion, to slow traffic down, to favor bikers and pedestrians,” the former official said.

“There’s a reduction in capacity through the introduction of bike lanes and streets and lanes being closed down.”

The goal of the jammed traffic is to shift as many drivers as possible to public transit or bicycles.

More NY Post with the details of how they are carrying out their plan.

Good find! Funny how this is not being reported anywhere because it fits the global warming agenda. They were serious about coercing people out of their cars and are taking it to a level we could not have seen.

Where is the outrage? Everyone was so upset about New Jersey and Christie.. This pales in comparison.

Well, well, well … NYC keeps putting libtard’s in office. Guess they want to live that way? It’s also happening in London, England. Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear UK) showed how that was so on his show years ago. Now those idjits put a mooslem in the Mayor’s office. Stupid hurts.

I wonder how many New Yorkers even can figure what happened?

Yep, how many? Good place for Astronaut Jim Lovell’s quote. “There are people who make things happen, there are people who watch things happen, and there are people who wonder what happened. To be successful, you need to be a person who makes things happen.”
There are people who will do anything to make Agenda 21 happen.

I have been claiming for some time now that the railroad is intentionally trying to screw with our traffic/our minds.
My office is a mile from major intersection/train crossing.
Over and over and over again it seems the trains are running thru at either the 8am rush hour, or noon hour or 5pm rush hour.
Yeah there is a lot of train traffic here – good, fine, but the timing for many of them? Give me a break!
    Sure raises blood pressure.

I can appreciate it…. I often wonder the same with the boats going through, always at rush hour… It would seem the boats could accommodate rush hour. One thing, no one has us poor peasants in mind who have to earn a living.

If these lefties ran the city with the same efficiency used to f___kup NYC traffic it would be a thing of beauty.
Off Tooic: This morning’s local news featured a press conference starring commie mayor comrade Bill de Blasio and his chief of detectives bemoaning the rise in hate crimes attributing the “supposed” increase to the election of Donald Trumo. If true who the hell is it commiting the civil unrest, Trump supporters? This in conjunction with a NYP officer in a hijab claiming she was assaulted in Grand Central Station. What a crock of progressive poo poo.

They’re doing the exact same thing in St. Paul, MN. Taking out car lanes to put in bike lanes. Be aware that way over 6 months of the year you can’t ride a bike there. A side benefit is businesses failing because there’s no parking. Pedestrians? They’re being mowed down like bowling pins. And let’s not forget the light rail bringing the gangbangers to a neighborhood near you.

The nastiness that Obama has been created is now being reaped by everyday Americans and I bet few are even aware of it. Thank goodness he is soon to depart, but his invectives will go on for decades.
