Have a wonderful New Year and the very best wishes!
I thought today I would post a back in the day review of Obama and his non-religious fervor in 2009. Obama had arrived, and of course the Muslim thing was not discussed in polite company. But we had a couple of clues didn’t we? Let’s take a look at his first Christmas. Later, by May, 2009 we would get a big clue. Obama’s cancellation of the national day of prayer.
But Obama has shown an unusual sensitivity toward atheists, the first president to mention non-believers in an inaugural address when he said, “For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus and non-believers.”
But I digressed.
President Obama and the First Family were planning a “non-religious
Christmas,” according to Social Secretary Desiree Rogers. Ms. Rogers reportedly told a gathering of former social secretaries that the Obamas did not intend on putting the Nativity scene on display – a longtime East Room tradition.
The account was reported in the Fashion and Style section of The New York Times. The White House confirmed to the Times that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive – but in the end – tradition won out – and the Nativity scene is once again in its traditional East Room spot.
Did you know that Obama does not celebrate Christmas? Obama Leaves the Gifting to Santa
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) tells People magazine in the issue out Friday that he and his wife, Michelle, do not give Christmas or birthday presents to their two young daughters.
Obama tells the magazine’s Sandra Sobieraj Westfall in a seven-page cover story that he and his wife follow the unusual practice because they “want to teach some limits.”
In the interview earlier this summer, Obama noted that they do spend “hundreds” of dollars on birthday slumber parties.
Michelle Obama told People: “Malia says, ‘I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.’ ”
“The lunch conversation inevitably turned to whether the White House would display its crèche, customarily placed in a prominent spot in the East Room. Ms. Rogers, this participant said, replied that the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display — a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood. (A White House official confirmed that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the crèche.)”
Samantha Power. One dangerous woman who voted the infamous abstention vote regarding Israel at the U.N. This is a reflection of Obama’s sentiments as well. Let us not forget. I have posted ad nauseam about how dangerous she is. If we want to know why the gasoline was just thrown on the fire in Israel, it was she who has been lighting the fire throughout the entire Middle East, especially Libya.

Commentary Magazine: (An excellent piece, well worth the full read on our gal)
In a 2003 article for the New Republic, Power: “The U.S,” she wrote, “came to be seen less as it sees itself (the cop protecting the world from rogue nations) than as the very runaway state international law needs to contain.”
Power wrote that America’s record in world affairs had been so harmful to the freedoms of people around the world that the United States could remedy the problem only through profound self-criticism and the wholesale adoption of new policies. Acknowledging that President Bush was correct in saying that “some America-bashers” hate the American people’s freedoms, Ms. Power stated that much anti-Americanism derives from the role that U.S. power “has played in denying such freedoms to others” and concluded:
U.S. foreign policy has to be rethought. It needs not tweaking but overhauling….Instituting a doctrine of mea culpa would enhance our credibility by showing that American decision-makers do not endorse the sins of their predecessors. When [then German Chancellor] Willie [sic] Brandt went down on one knee in the Warsaw ghetto, his gesture was gratifying to World War II survivors, but it was also ennobling and cathartic for Germany. Would such an approach be futile for the United States?

One thing is clear: The sudden emergence of Obama’s National Security Council Advisor, Samantha Power, and the “new theory” she is using as justification for action in Libya, has very serious implications for future military action against Israel. As John Podhoretz explains in the New York Post, the “reason” behind the Libyan military strike is not the traditional justification of “protecting the national interest.” It is a “new” standard called “R2P” or “right to protect.” This concept is being promulgated by the “one-world” order activists at the United Nations, like Samantha Power.
Of course this is done over the holidays with an abbreviated comment period. We gave Russia our Uranium why not give China access to manipulating our financial markets. The unthinkable is thinkable these days. The Obama regime remains without comment. Here tis:
Lawmakers are demanding a longer review of a Chinese firm’s deal to purchase the Chicago Stock Exchange, voicing concerns over the sale’s impact on U.S. national security and the financial security of the American marketplace.
“As the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) conducts its process to review this transaction, we similarly urge you to consider the negative impacts Chinese state-affiliated ownership of the Chicago Exchange will have on national security and the financial security of the American marketplace,” the lawmakers wrote.
Earlier this month, the Chicago Stock Exchange announced that CFIUS found “no unresolved national security concerns” regarding the deal. The sale now only faces approval by the SEC. The Treasury Department has declined to comment on the development.
The lawmakers argued Thursday that the deal would offer the firm the ability to “manipulate” the $22 trillion U.S. equity marketplace.
“The integrity of, and confidence in America’s financial markets is a bedrock component of our nation’s security,” they wrote. “This transaction raises serious questions that go well beyond the limited scope of review that has already taken place. Allowing an entity such as CCEG to acquire one of our nation’s exchanges—with the access, information, and opportunities that exist to undermine U.S. interests—is a very serious matter.”
“Given these concerns, we urge you to consider rejecting this transaction,” the lawmakers wrote.

4 hours ago – US Secretary of State John Kerry will make remarks regarding Middle East peace on Wednesday and discuss next steps needed’
Israel doesn’t think that Obama is done with them yet nor do I. Kerry hovers in the background along with anti-Semite U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power. Is there another U.N. resolution in the works?
TV reports: Netanyahu is wary that Kerry will set out parameters for permanent accord, then outgoing Obama administration will seek Security Council approval
Netanyahu’s fear is that Secretary of State John Kerry will set out principles or parameters for a Palestinian state in a speech that he has said he will deliver in the next few days on his Middle East vision. The prime minister fears that, in its final days, the Obama administration will seek to have a resolution enshrining those parameters adopted by the UN Security Council, the report said.
France is to hold a conference on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on January 15, and Netanyahu expects that Kerry will attend, that the Middle East Quartet — the US, UN, Russia and EU — will coordinate their positions at that summit, and that they will then turn to the Security Council in the very last days of the Obama presidency, a Channel 10 report further suggested.
Addressing the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem Sunday, Netanyahu reiterated his staunch opposition to Resolution 2334.
“We have no doubt that the Obama administration initiated it, stood behind it, coordinated its versions and insisted upon its passage,” he said.

Something we can look forward to in just a month. We will be saying goodbye to the Obamas and all that came with them. I am taking a bit of a Holiday respite from the heavy politics and enjoying the season. I hope you are too.
This is Advent — when, as sleepers, we awaken to our own light of love, deep within us, waiting to be reborn again in the dark stables of our own souls.
Source:A Design So Vast, Lindsey Mead speaks to the nascent light of her own inner longing as Solstice approached, and offers a meditation by author Meg Casey that captures the hushed beauty of December here
December is a holy month. Maybe it is the dark, silky silence that descends so early that speaks to me of reverence. Maybe it is the promise that December holds — that no matter how dark, how cold, how empty it can get, the light is coming back. Something always shifts in me when December arrives — I embrace the darkness, and am eager for the coming solstice when the whole world is still and holds its breath, waiting to be reborn again.
