FBI James Comey, the ultimate chameleon who sold his soul?

James Comey, the ultimate Universal man, a wolf in sheep’s clothes or a chameleon? He has been a Prosecutor, Lobbyist, Hedge Fund operator, Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. For some reason, Obama felt safe enough to appoint him head of the FBI. Now we know why. He can be bought and sold just like Ashcroft, Eric Holder and the rest of them. Comey fell on his sword for how many pieces of silver?

Let’s take a look. He has been everything but defending the little guy. From going after Martha Stewart cutting his chops as a public prosecutor, somehow played the game and got George Bush to appoint him Deputy Attorney General and landed under Ashcroft. How about his political bent?

He voted for Carter in 1980, but in ’84, Comey: “I voted for Reagan—I’d moved from Communist to whatever I am now. I’m not even sure how to characterize myself politically. Maybe at some point, I’ll have to figure it out.”

“I had no sense whether Jim was an R or a D,” says Eric Holder Jr., who worked closely with Comey when Holder was deputy attorney general to Janet Reno in the Clinton administration—and who remains a confirmed D.

Sounds like a man with a story. Where did he start? In law. He was a partner at firm McGuireWoods, where, among other things, he successfully defended a company against claims its machinery had caused asbestos-related injuries.

And from there? From there he moved into public prosecution and eventually came to the attention of President George W Bush, who appointed him deputy attorney general of the United States in 2003. But he left after two years in the role.

To do what? Sell tanks, bombs and jets to drop them from. He joined Lockheed Martin, one of the world’s largest defence contractors, as senior vice-president. (A Lobbyist)

In 2005, Comey left law enforcement for the defense industry, joining money-in-politics powerhouse Lockheed Martin. As senior vice president and general counsel he earned more than $6 million in compensation in his last full year with the company.

And then? Dipped his toe in the world of hedge funds at Bridgewater Associates before joining the board of HSBC Holdings.

The author of this piece makes a prescient observation regarding the Comey Ashcroft relationship:

On the surface, it’s an odd pairing: Comey—who cites liberal theologian Reinhold Niebuhr as a formative influence, and who can sing along with Good Charlotte pop-punk hits—and Ashcroft, a reactionary born-again Christian who breaks into spirited renditions of biblical hymns. There’s little risk Comey will lose his sense of humor in his new job. It’s only his soul that’s up for grabs.

Now we know why it was so odd.

Oh, by the way, where’s John Ashcroft today? Why he’s on the Board of Directors of Blackwater USA,which now goes by the harmless sounding name – Academi – conjuring up images of ivy-covered buildings and lounging intellectuals.

Comey and Ashcroft – Lockheed Martin and Blackwater: Defenders of our civil liberties?

Eric Holder? He is now a white-collar defense attorney at a firm that lobbies for major banks, pharmaceutical companies and defense contractors.

Hillary Clinton accepted the endorsement of former Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who oversaw a record decrease in white-collar prosecutions, and who inadvertently coined the phrase — “too big to jail” — which is often used to describe the Obama Justice Department’s approach to corporate crime.

Holder — who has described his Justice Department as “appropriately aggressive”

[…] The presser by Assange yesterday was chilling for those who heard it in its entirety. For that matter for anyone that even caught a smidgen of it since the media and even bloggers have shown or posted little of it. So our T.V, phones and microwave are portals into the ether. But we really knew it…. those of us wearing tin foil have posted on the fact previously. Setting that aside, where do we go from here? It’s hard to figure just how this fellow ticks. Did he fall on his sword for the GOP knowing it would go no where? My hunch is he will change his colors tomorrow at the hearing.Could be wrong but my intuition. I am sure he has been talked to!

I’m still so disgusted that it’s been hard to put into words how angry I really am. However, I think my husband may have figured out part of what happened here. The Clinton’s aren’t called Slick for nothing. This whole meeting on the tarmac thing that was allegedly “secret” (but notice how it was out in the open and the news “accidentally” heard about it?). Uh huh, well, Hubby said it appears that Slick is making sure that the FBI is the fall guy for the verdict all in an effort to make Hillary look all doey eyed and innocent. You know, baking cookies and such. Oh, I’m not saying that Comey is innocent either. Oh no. They’ve either got something exceedingly dirty on him or it’s for money or he’s been threatened with bodily harm. I listened to the verbal report. Comey did say that Hillary is a liar. Now it’s up to the Trump magic machine to do something with that in their Advert’s.
Keep up the good work Bunkerville. We need patriot’s like yourself.

Thanks. Not sure myself as to how the players lined up on this. One thing for sure it was planned. But who is up and who is down is up for grabs except for Hillary. Tomorrow’s hearing with Comey is worth the price of admission.

Thanks for bringing that info. It’s a chummy little club, and “clean” men like Comey with the outward appearance of above-it-all impartiality come in handy just for times like this.

He went above and beyond in service to presumptive president Hillary when he tacked on his editorial statement about how all her lawbreaking shouldn’t be prosecuted. Such blatant ham-handed tactics are a sign of the low regard the power elites have for such a stupid citizenry.

Yes, the meme that his purity was beyond question got a little ruffed up yesterday. We shall see how long the memory banks of Americans can hold these thoughts that all is not well in Clintonville.

Was the announcement really a surprise? No….but it was in a sense, wasn’t it? Comey was suppose to be “untouchable” and even the likes of certain pundits like O’Reilly touted him as a “good guy” who can be trusted to do the right thing. Some good guy who sold out, right? What a joke on the American people. The government is no longer hiding the liberal-progressive agenda, their out and open about it. I wonder, when the people are going to wake up and demand better? What a sad shape we are in as a Nation. The “turn” is almost done. The “fix” has been in for a very long time, and a lot of folks are ok with it. Shaking my head.

We shall see the political fall out. I am watching MSNBC Morning Joe. The left is having some angst. Doubtful that it will last but will be an interesting ride.
