Venezuela orders two day work week to save energy

A taste of Bernie’s Socialism.

Venezuela’s socialist government ordered public workers on Tuesday to work a two-day week as an energy-saving measure in the crisis-hit South American country.

President Nicolas Maduro had already given most of Venezuela’s 2.8 million state employees Fridays off during April and May to cut down on electricity consumption.

“From tomorrow, for at least two weeks, we are going to have Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays as non-working days for the public sector,” Mr Maduro said on his weekly television program.

Water shortages and electricity cuts have added to the hardships of Venezuela’s 30 million people, already enduring a brutal recession, shortages of basics from milk to medicines, soaring prices, and long lines at shops.

I remember during an “Energy Crisis” some years back when our local gas and electric company was telling people to turn their thermostats down and to use extra blankets and wear more clothing in cold weather to save on electricity and fuel. But the corporate profits of the utility companies never went down did they? Socialism always lives better at the top of the heap than at the bottom despite all their claims of shared reward and shared responsibility. There always elitists no matter what and Socialism is one of the worst … and people in America are actually considering trying it out for themselves this time around? Give me a break!

I’m writing in an independent running for 2016. Did you study up on all those running for pres, or only the few wrapped up in MSM drama? I like Andy. We are from WA. We’ve got Starbucks, Microsoft, and legal weed in WA and our consciousness screams for a higher leader. andy2016/proposals
The rest is up to you to learn about and make your decision based on all running for leader, not just who the establishment delegates as PIC.

Maduro should pass a law that his people must hop rather than walk since doing so would mean less steps taken and thereby cut down on their carbon footprints which we all now know causes global warming, the most pressing issue on the planet -ask Bernie, Hillary, Obama and the socialist leaders of western Europe- and by doing so the cooling Venezuela and the electricity saved by lower air conditioning use would solve the energy crisis, the drought, el Nino, government corruption, socialism, failing economy, hatred of america, over eating, out of wedlock pregnancies and the price of oil. Viva las socialistas!!!

IF they start to hop, the country might tip over. One of my early blogger friends, Jim, from Conservatives on Fire lives there, and haven’t heard from him in over a year. They could be a very rich country with all the oil they had revenue from. But much stolen by Chavez daughter I read the other day.

Yes. I often wonder myself what may have happened to Jim? As for Venezuela we know that socialism is doing there what socialism does best everywhere it is tried, destroying economies and destroying people; for their own good of course.
