Best wishes for a happy and enjoyable Labor day

Here is wishing everyone a great Labor Day. Hope your day is filled with pleasure and happiness with friends and family. Always important to keep a perspective on our lives and that which does bring us joy. I have been taking a few days off from blogging, resting up for the next push!

I chose the song “Money” by Pink Floyd. It brings to mind the early days of my working career when $5 Bucks an hour sounded pretty good!

Hey it’s 1 AM central the day after Labor Day. Where is everybody? Just kidding.
Refrigerator/freezer went on the blink Saturday morning. Been ice chests, pouring out melted ice water and dumpin’ what spoiled.
Appliance repair guy said he’d be over Tuesday, well it’s Tuesday 1 AM (central). He said this would be expensive so he should be here by now. 🙂

Can’t complain. In my neck of the woods it’s usually a emergency, i.e. hurricane, and there is no ice to be had, or gas or canned goods. And didn’t have to cook out or socialize on the patio. lol

Ah, ’72 best yeah of my life, well up to then. Camille had ruined my ’66 Chrysler 300 two door coupe in ’69. I bought a used ’69 Buick Electra 225 4 door coupe from the Buick dealer no water damage. Forget what I paid. But a new ’72 was 42 hundred. Mine was the best car I ever owned.
Yeah, all have a great week and Labor Day weekend. See you on the other side.

The good old days. When Dark side of The Moon came out I lived like a king on $8,000 per year.
I still have two copies of this album😎

Same here as well. I bought a ford pinto for 2,000. bucks brand new. Thought I was really living.

In October 1972 I paid $2,600 for a 1973 Super Beetle with a moon roof (called a sun roof back then). Auto insurance with collision was + — $125 per year.

You made the better choice! I am lucky I didn’t get burned alive.

It was the rubber timing chain that made the Pinto so unreliable if I recall correctly😖
