Our hearts ache for the loss of the five brave men who lost their lives this week in service to our Nation. Last Memorial day I posted this song. I can’t think of a better one for today. I felt a tear last time I posted it. Today, five tears. Needless, senseless loss.
Official video of Trace Adkins’s Arlington from the album Songs About Me. Buy It Here:http://smarturl.it/qqqphp “
Arlington” is sung from the viewpoint of a soldier, killed in battle and buried at Arlington National Cemetery. It was inspired by United States Marine Corps Corporal Patrick Nixon, who died in battle in 2003.

Yes a beautiful tribute. I don’t know where it is planned by the families to bury these five. I don’t know the government rules and regulations as to who is eligible for Arlington. There is a National Cemetery here and lot’s of vets in this Navy town live and die here. Every day almost the obits lists someone being laid to rest there.
There in TN were those guys from various places in our country doing their job, I think Wisconsin and Georgia and other places.
And some kind of so-called American is stomping on the Flag somewhere today, probably. Or you may have seen the pic of some actually wiping their a$$ with it.
Also beautiful is the blogs(and commentators) I visit from NH, NY, other New England areas, the South, Texas, and Plains all have the understanding, at least what I consider important, who and what America is and is all about and was meant to be.
Thanks for posting the song video.

As I travel this year on my road trip, I meet so many wonderfully kind people. We can become jaded, we political junkies, as to what and who really is America/American.

It would be fun to hear where you are from time to time on “this year on my road trip.” If you feel hungry for BBQ and a sign says turn down Ayatollah Khomeini Drive, keep going. I don’t know of such a street, but heads up to where you are, you know. 🙂
