Congrats on the award! I know that like myself you have also wondered why we keep on going when it doesn’t seem to do any good so to be honored like this makes it feel like we are making a difference. Congrats again!

Thanks Bunkerville and yes it was nice to see the bump in traffic. That is a good point about the email subscribers, I wish there was a way to count them in the stats so we could get a better idea of how many people are actually seeing what we write.
It is also good to have a few new sites to check out after we have lost so many in the last couple of years.

Well, Steve and Bunkerville and commenters here. In a whole world of lies and deceit, I call these blogs God’s Real Little Acre. Not because of any perversion and the desired gold in the end by any means, but the truth shown in reality and the little space we got. 🙂
I doubt you will give up, well until like J.D. Longstreet and Alan Caruba you have to, and they fought the good fight ’til the end.. God bless you both.

I had a “look a squirrel” moment yesterday at Ace Hardware. I’m chatting with my favorite lady who works there in the kitchen cabinet knob aisle, and in the middle of a sentence I spy the smoke detectors behind her. I swerved immediately into, “Oh, look, smoke detectors.” Ours just crapped out and I needed one. We had a good laugh over that. We “Idaho Hillbilly’s” are easily amused.
