Talk about embarrassing oneself. Kerry marches on with his non-sensical negotiations. Then let us try to get into the mindset of our fool-in-chief Obama with his previous statements. Just for the record.
LAUSANNE, Switzerland – Iran nuclear negotiators resumed talks here Wednesday, just hours after abandoning a March 31 deadline to reach the outline of a deal and agreeing to press on. However, as the discussions dragged on, three of the six foreign ministers involved left the talks, and prospects for agreement remained uncertain.
Asked how high the chances of success were, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said: “I cannot say.” And British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said Iran might still not be ready to accept what is on the table. More at Global News
Now for the keen insight into Obama’s take on Iran. Iran is just a little Country. It is no threat to us. (No comment how Israel may feel about it.)
Via National Review:
If President Obama seems less worried than Israel that Iran will obtain nuclear weapons as a result of his administration’s negotiations with the regime, maybe that’s because he’s less worried than Israel about Iran having nuclear weapons.
“I think Iran is like North Korea,” Obama told David Brooks when he was running for president in 2007. “They see nuclear arms in defensive terms, as a way to prevent regime change.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disagrees. “The ideology of Iran’s revolutionary regime is deeply rooted in militant Islam, and that’s why this regime will always be an enemy of America,” he said in his speech to Congress denouncing the deal being negotiated. “The foremost sponsor of global terrorism could be weeks away from having enough enriched uranium for an entire arsenal of nuclear weapons and this with full international legitimacy.”
The negotiations are currently stuck, as Iran refuses to ship its stockpile of enriched uranium to Russia.
