This is a deep subject, involving relationships between republicans and democrats back in that day. As was my representative, a democrat and as many if not most were, was “leaning against NAFTA” before they were for it. The election of Clinton the appointment of Trade Representative Kantor convinced the dems to go along with the repubs who had been for NAFTA and WTO all along.
So anyway this against it, for it thingy still goes along with the same forces behind it all.

I do not take issue with this dirtbag’s 1993 comments when referenced against his stance on illegal immigration today. He was right on target when he said “No sane country would…” We were not then and are not a sane country so where is the hypocrisy, double talk and subterfuge? Still Harry is the lowest form of scumbag ever to grace the floor of the U.S. Senate.

Reid would not permit any bill to come forward in the Senate that would have secured our border, or any bill for that matter regarding illegals during his tenure is my understanding, except one. That one would have ended in reconciliation and katty bar the door as the Rinos and Dems worked out the differences in the House and Senate bills.
