Sunday respite: Hallelujah

There are over 60 renditions Cohen’s Hallelujah. Most by Leonard. I thought this one by K.D. Laing unusually beautiful.

Music and lyrics by Leonard Cohen.
From the album ‘Hymns of the 49th Parallel’.

Thank you! This is one of my favorite songs, she has an absolutely beautiful voice. So, I just spent a wonderful hour listening to different artists and their versions. Jeff Buckley is still my favorite.

This is really good, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zEqWw4IQWA

A great choice for a song on a Sunday. Of course I am prejudice because I love the song, lol. Thanks Bunkerville, 🙂

Thanks for the uplift Bunker. I have never heard this rendition before. Surely anyone not tone deaf would beg to differ with Obieonemulattomuslim’s assertion that the Islam call to morning prayers is the sweetest sound one could hear.

Glad you enjoyed it. I was looking through countless Cohen’s work, but this one stood out with the approach. I enjoy Cohen, but he uses the same range for most of his work.
