Tom Harkin warns of the dangers of ‘siren’ Joni Ernst!

Had any GOPer said anything like this it would be front page in your face news with the candidate headed for the trash bin of any career. After all, it is only the GOP that are the knuckle draggers who would force women into having babies and are a threat to the continuation of the specie. So when Harkin, the “old white man” said this, I had to pass it along.

America’s Watchtower brings us this. According to a recent poll Joni Ernst has taken a seven point lead in her race against Bruce Braley to become the next Senator from Iowa.

Outgoing Democratic Senator Tom Harkin apparently has a theory about why she is doing so well as the campaign reaches its conclusion–she is attractive–and he had a warning for the voters of Iowa.

Here is what he had to say:

“In this Senate race, I’ve been watching some of these ads,” Harkin said at the Story County Democrats’ annual fall barbecue last week honoring the retiring senator. “And there’s sort of this sense that, ‘Well, I hear so much about Joni Ernst. She is really attractive, and she sounds nice.’”

“Well I gotta to thinking about that. I don’t care if she’s as good looking as Taylor Swift or as nice as Mr. Rogers, but if she votes like Michele Bachmann, she’s wrong for the state of Iowa.”

Thanks for the link! If a Republican had said this it would have been all over the news, think Romney and the binder comment, but because it is a Democrat the MSM ignored it. What more proof does one need that there is a double standard in the way the two parties are covered in the news?

Sounds like this guy hasn’t be out of the house in awhile.
She has yet to make a big deal about possible election of the first female in Iowa. She doesn’t run with the victim mentality.

Looks like we have more up and coming youngins coming in. It would take a lot to vote for that sardonic GOP Kansas guy — whatever his name is. He is a downer every time I see him,

Of course I hope for the best and will be watching election results. But I remember all of pre-2012 talk…Mickey Mouse could beat Obama. Remember O’s hot mike to Medvedev like in March of 2012? He didn’t say tell Putin to be patient, if I’m re-elected I’ll have more flexibility.
He said…“After my election I have more flexibility.” Sounds pretty settled to me.

The trend in America is toward the type of situation we have down here. You are either with the central government or you are an enemy of the state. Differences of opinion are not to be allowed.

A very dangerous situation, my friend!
