Looking for an honest election? Look again. Ballot stuffing in AZ

Think we will have an honest election? Third world countries do better than we do. Most require identification. For us, not so much yet. So we have here  a video of a fellow stuffing the ballot box. Of course, it is someone from the Progressive side of the aisle. But this harkens back to an April post. Microsoft’s Allen , Foreign Scytl election software, and Obama -what could go wrong? April 9, 2014

“Obama donor’s company funds controversial election firm” reads the headline. We now are turning over our election software to a foreign company that happens to support Obama. The Drudge Report yesterday ran a feature titled “Foreign company buys U.S. election results reporting firm.” The article documented that SCYTL, based in Barcelona, acquired 100 percent of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States. Drudge reports that the  best part is that the election results are redirected not to a USA server, but to a server overseas.

Project Vote noted that in 2008, the Florida Department of State commissioned a review of SCYTL’s remote voting software and concluded, in part, that:

  • The system is vulnerable to attack from insiders.
  • In a worst case scenario, the software could lead to (1) voters being unable to cast votes; (2) an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters; and (3) possible disclosure of confidential information, such as the votes cast by individual voters.
  • The system may be subject to attacks that could compromise the integrity of the votes cast. Read More

Now for the latest insult to our process:

An Arizona county party official said he saw a man stuffing “hundreds” of ballots into the ballot box and later told a local news outlet the entire incident was caught on surveillance video.“A person wearing a Citizens for a Better Arizona T-shirt dropped a large box of hundreds of early ballots on the table and started stuffing the ballot box as I watched in amazement,” said A.J. LaFaro, chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Party.

“America used to be a nation of laws where one person had one vote,” LaFaro said, the Daily Independent reported. ”I’m sad to say not anymore.”

On its website, Citizens for a Better Arizona says it is an “outgrowth of the grassroots movement that led to the historic recall of former [Republican] President of the Senate Russell Pearce.” The group is ”committed to improving the quality of life of all Arizonans – better schools, better health care, better jobs, better government and a better, more civil tone of respect and decency.”

But, but, but, I thought voter fraud didn’t exist and was only a tool of the right to try to disenfranchise minorities… 🙂

Here’s the thing. Arizona doesn’t even count early votes unless the vote is too close to call. So none of those early ballots will necessarily be counted. I do find it concerning that they are being hand carried in, however, rather than coming in the mail as an actual ballot mailed to a registered voter.

Voting doesn’t make a difference anyway. As a voter my entire adult life I may just sit this one out. Nothing changes. It’s too corrupt and the power of inertia too great.

That sure is silly to me. If it is too close to call they count them? I would like the satisfaction of seeing what the GOP will do if they take the Senate. It may galvanize some new blood if things don’t change as did in2012.

And we wonder why folks don’t get out and vote….a lot of folks sure don’t think it makes a difference and they may be right. I, however, will happily vote, never giving up the fight!! Dark times.

Aside from this cholo resembling the guy who cuts my lawn where are the poll or ballot box watchers? We’ve come a long way since Mayor Daley.

It is reported that they were taking a long lunch break. One can only imagine what it is like elsewhere. Washington State doesn’t even have polling locations anymore last I heard. A Banana republic. Maybe the U.N will come in and watch our elections with Jimmy Carter.

I wish I could say that rigged elections was a new phenomena, but it’s not. They are just more in-your-face about it these days. A sad commentary, indeed!
