The dark underbelly of cop Killer Frein saga, and what they didn’t tell you

The alleged cop killer Eric Frein has been captured. I am glad. Martial law is coming to and end. But as I watched the heads of the various agencies preen with pride at the capture at last night’s press conference, I could only feel disgust. I witnessed the disgraceful conduct in Northeastern Pennsylvania by many in the various law enforcement agencies who ran roughshod over the rights of the citizens with their on again, off again  “Shelter in place” – what a joke – their often abuse towards us, because after all, they were going to get their man and too often, way too often, to hell with us and you and yours.

Anyone who follows my blog knows I am one of only a few who has called out on a regular basis that this lawlessness had to stop. If you think forcing citizens to sleep in their cars, not letting them go home and get to their medications for days on end, leaving pets in homes for days without food or water, was okay and only done in our best interest, read no further. Threatening arrest if one attempts to go in or out of one’s home. It only added to the feeling of living in some other parallel universe. It couldn’t be happening here. Not in the USA. But of course, the PA police denied it. But I have meticulously documented it all in previous posts from standard news sources. Yes I have.

On the other hand, if seven weeks of this did not raise even raise an eyebrow, then Martial Law apparently will go down without a hitch when others perceive it is in our best interest to “Shelter in place.”

The locals are for the most part “bitter clingers” and except for a few transplants, a tight-knit community. Supporting law enforcement is in our DNA. And so most did support law enforcement for the better part. But as the days wore on, the tweets were becoming less kind. I was becoming less kind. It was good it ended today. Hunting season is upon us. With the closure of  hunting in a number of townships, the story was taking on an ominous flavor. The actions of those whose intent was to get their man at any cost was coming into question.

But think about it. How long are you willing to live under martial law? I also will include two short videos to try to give you the flavor. I will give you a list of a number of my previous posts, many contain some duplication for documentation.

This fellow was injured and ended up at the Hospital. Funny, they edited the ending. He was assaulted. One reason they are raising money.

Balloon fail, cop killer Frein wanders at will, Martial Law remainsUPDATE CAUGHT

Another clusterf*** from the Pennsylvania State Police. Seven weeks and counting as martial law continues in NE PA. Okay, I am about the only blogger on this story, but what the heck. Here is the latest update. For my full screed wander over to

Martial law in NE PA remains over Cop Killer Frein, call it what you like.

This balloon thing was supposed to see three miles, but heck, they forgot they were over woods. In the clip, the mentioned Frein “look-alike” was assaulted by the jack boots and ended up at the hospital, but you will notice they break it off as he discusses he has been stopped over twenty times. The reason for raising the money? The assault.

On Monday, Pennsylvania State Police announced they were using a device similar to a weather balloon in their search for the suspect in the deadly ambush of a state trooper.

Two days later, police have decided to deflate the surveillance balloon, citing ineffectiveness.

Trooper Tom Kelly, a state police spokesman, said the device has been returned to the Ohio Department of Transportation, which had donated the use of the large, unmanned Mylar device.

“Due to the tree canopy and rugged terrain of our search area, the balloon was not as helpful as everyone hoped it would be,” Kelly said.

Quarantined nurse versus cop killer Frein and Marital Law in NE Pa

Puma by Design has the full story on our quarantined nurse  who raised hell at the thoughts of not getting her way, who doesn’t mind putting at all of us at risk with Ebola. Meanwhile, those living in NE Pennsylvania and caught up in cop killer Frein “quarantine” otherwise known as “Shelter in Place” otherwise known as Martial Law gets zero attention. The Frein case has been going on for over six weeks.

Rich Barry, one of the residents, said he was coming home from work in New York City at 7 p.m. when police stopped him at Route 447.

“I have a wife and a 2-year-old at home and I want to see them,” he said. “I wanted to try walking back home, but an officer told me they’d put me under arrest.”

First, from Puma:

Those of us who have been paying attention the past several weeks knew something was up as we recognized the language, i.e., Barack Obama, White House, CDC, MSNBC and now Sandra Flukes’ Kaci’s talking points were EXACTLY the same, VERBATIM. (It’s an insult that they believe us too ignorant to notice.)

On top of it all, Ebola Nurse aka elitist aka Sandra Fluke, correction Kaci Hickox is a registered Progressive (and Obama shill), which explains her arrogance and overwhelming sense of PRIVILEGE. by Charles C. Johnson

Initially turned down for Doctors Without Borders, Hickox applied for a position with the Centers for Disease Control’s infectious disease unit. She received that position and began a two-year fellowship in Las Vegas, NV where she currently still works.

Hickox’s travels as a nurse took her to Myanmar, Cambodia, and Nigeria and convinced her of the importance of quarantines and ‘health surveillance,’ according to the University of Texas-Arlington newsmagazine.‘I realize that we need to find better ways to improve health surveillance and outbreak response in settings with poor resources,’ Hickox said. ‘My training in the EIS with the CDC will allow me to learn the gold standard of this kind of work….’

She co-wrote an anti-pharmaceutical industry op-ed for the Baltimore Sun and advocated against policies that would have developed life-saving drugs….

The Pennsylvania State Police are asking all residents of Barrett and Price Townships to shelter in place immediately.

Please do not go outdoors and remain away from windows or openings to the outside.

Police are in the process of searching the area.

Please stay tuned to media outlets for further information.

October 21, 2014

This may moot the lawsuit Kaci Hickox planned to file against New Jersey, but it won’t end the debate over the proper way to deal with health-care professionals returning from contact with Ebola patients. The state of New Jersey announced that they would release Hickox from mandatory quarantine after testing negative for the disease, but the tests don’t normally indicate infection in its earlier stages

Bob Woodward: ‘There still are lot of unanswered questions re IRS’

Oh I suppose this adds some credibility to those of us who are still making noises about the IRS scandal. After yesterday’s post one would think this would make it as a headliner. IRS can seize bank accounts on suspicion, no crime required. In truth, now with this administration’s stone walling, it takes big bucks and a lucky draw of a decent Judge to get any documentation. The Freedom of Information act be damned.

So, Woodward’s comment is relegated to the micro bloggers to make notice. So here is my feeble attempt to keep the story relevant.

Woodward said, “The reality now in my view that in the Obama administration, there are lots of unanswered questions about the IRS, particularly. If I were young, I would take Carl Bernstein and move to Cincinnati where that IRS office is and set up headquarters and go talk to everyone.”

Woodward added that when it comes to the IRS scandal — in which conservative groups reportedly have been targeted and officials have claimed computer data has been lost — the important questions to ask are still, “What are the facts? What really happened?”

IRS can seize bank accounts on suspicion, no crime required

Anyone still think we are not living in a Banana Republic? This ought to do it. An out of control government totally. Where is the media? That’s right, more than happy to go along with the regime. Surprise, this from the NY Times no less. Wonders never cease.

For almost 40 years, Carole Hinders has dished out Mexican specialties at her modest cash-only restaurant. For just as long, she deposited the earnings at a small bank branch a block away — until last year, when two tax agents knocked on her door and informed her that they had seized her checking account, almost $33,000.

The Internal Revenue Service agents did not accuse Ms. Hinders of money laundering or cheating on her taxes — in fact, she has not been charged with any crime. Instead, the money was seized solely because she had deposited less than $10,000 at a time, which they viewed as an attempt to avoid triggering a required government report.

Using a law designed to catch drug traffickers, racketeers and terrorists by tracking their cash, the government has gone after run-of-the-mill business owners and wage earners without so much as an allegation that they have committed serious crimes. The government can take the money without ever filing a criminal complaint, and the owners are left to prove they are innocent. Many give up.

FEC moving to control and regulate Internet, blogs, News media

So far, it has been the FCC that we have had to keep our eye on. Now, we move on to the FEC. The Federal Election Comission will be on the case of with so-called “new rules.” Th usual Friday dump. It’s Saturday, so I give you a bit of a refresher of parts of previous posts. The Internet is the last bastion of true free speech by the everyday Joe and Jane.  Enjoy – here is the latest:

Via Washington Examiner:

In a surprise move late Friday, a key Democrat on the Federal Election Commission called for burdensome new rules on Internet-based campaigning, prompting the Republican chairman to warn that Democrats want to regulate online political sites and even news media like the Drudge Report.

Democratic FEC Vice Chair Ann M. Ravel announced plans to begin the process to win regulations on Internet-based campaigns and videos, currently free from most of the FEC’s rules. “A reexamination of the commission’s approach to the internet and other emerging technologies is long over due,” she said.

The power play followed a deadlocked 3-3 vote on whether an Ohio anti-President Obama Internet campaign featuring two videos violated FEC rules when it did not report its finances or offer a disclosure on the ads. The ads were placed for free on YouTube and were not paid advertising.

FCC to police and question media, websites regarding content

The Federal Communications Commission is planning a broad probe of political speech across  media platforms, an unprecedented move that raises serious First Amendment  concerns.

The FCC’s proposed “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” which  is set to begin a field test in a single market with an eye toward a  comprehensive study in 2014, would collect a remarkably wide range of  information on demographics, point of view, news topic  selection, management style and other factors in news organizations both in and  out of the FCC’s traditional purview.

“In this study, the FCC will delve into the editorial discretion of newspapers,  web sites and radio and TV stations,” Hudson Institute Fellow Robert McDowell,  who served as a FCC commissioner from 2009 to 2013, told The Daily Caller.  “This starts sticking the government’s nose into what has traditionally been  privileged and protected ground. Regardless of one’s political stripes, one  should be concerned.”

The airwaves regulator would also subject news producers in all media to  invasive questioning about their work and content.

Judicial Watch Documents Radical Group Consulted with FCC to Push Obama’s Internet Takeover

June 5, 2011

McChesney strongly believes in government control of the medium and the message.

In a 2000 article — titled “Journalism, Democracy, and Class Struggle”  in Review, McChesney laid out his goal of using media as a tool for socialist change:

Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism…

In 2009, McChesney said the following about capitalism and the media:

  • “Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to necessarily be part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist system itself.”
  • “There is no real answer but to remove brick by brick the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles.”
  • “We need to do whatever we can to limit capitalist propaganda, regulate it, minimalize it, and perhaps even eliminate it.”

NBC, Universal, Comcast cave to FCC Diversity

January 14, 2011 — bunkerville

NBCU will strive to ensure the presentation of diverse viewpoints by seeking the expanded participation of minorities on its news and public affairs programming,” the companies promised in writing to black leaders. “To advance this goal, NBCU will consider suggestions from the African American Advisory Council of individuals who could be considered for such participation.”

The media giants also agreed to allow black leaders to have influence over NBC’s news programming. In addition to programming “diversity,” the Comcast and NBC Universal Memorandums of Understanding with different race-specific civil rights groups promise “diversity” in company employment, in supplier and vendor procurement and in “philanthropy and community investment.”

FCC Commissioner Wants to Test the ‘Public Value’ of Every Broadcast Station

December 3, 2010

This is an abbreviated portion found over at CNS:

American journalism is in “grave peril,” FCC Commissioner Michael Copps says, and to bolster “traditional media,” he said the Federal Communications Commission should conduct a “public value test” of every commercial broadcast station at relicensing time.

In a speech at the Columbia University School of Journalism in New York on Thursday, Copps also said station relicensing should happen every four years instead of the current eight.

“If a station passes the Public Value Test, it of course keeps the license it has earned to use the people’s airwaves,” Copps said. “If not, it goes on probation for a year, renewable for an additional year if it demonstrates measurable progress. If the station fails again, give the license to someone who will use it to serve the public interest.”

Ever since Barack Obama became president, prominent conservatives have warned about liberal efforts to squelch conservative and Christian talk-radio.

NPR Vivian Schiller Key Architect of FCC Govt Takeover of the News

October 26, 2010 — bunkerville

Schiller, a New York Times executive, is one of a few dozen power players working with the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and a leftist group called Free Press to “reinvent journalism.” That’s how the FTC describes it. The FCC calls what they are doing the “Future of Journalism.” Free Press, a think tank funded by leftist billionaire George Soros, among others, calls it “the new public media.”

With now-former NPR analyst Juan Williams suitably splattered across the evening news after politically incorrect comments he made on Fox News, Schiller can return to her real passion – the creation of a national network to ensure that in the future, you get your news from the government in general and NPR in particular. Keep Apologizing Vivian, we got your number , who explained in a speech to the NPR board of directors in 2009, it is public radio’s responsibility to fill the gap in journalism left by dying local television stations and newspapers

FCC Chairman Ducks Question About FCC Official’s First Amendment Views

November 5, 2009 — bunkerville

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, after testifying at a congressional hearing on texting while driving Wednesday, was asked whether he agreed with Mark Lloyd’s views on the First Amendment. He refused to say if he agrees with the FCC’s Chief Diversity Officer Czar Mark Lloyd that freedom of speech is an “exaggeration” and that concerns about free speech serve only as a “distraction” from policy debates.

Instead of answering the question, Genachowski said he would rather focus on drivers who are distracted by text-messaging. Your Chief Diversity Office, Mark Lloyd, wrote in 2006 that freedom of speech had become an exaggeration and that free speech concerns served to distract from policy debates. Do you agree with those statements?Genachowski: We’re here today to talk about distracted driving, and today is a day to focus attention on that issue and that’s what we’ve done.
In his book, Mark Lloyd said his approach to communications was inspired by left-wing radical Saul Alinsky.

“We looked to successful political campaigns and organizers as a guide, especially the civil rights movement, Saul Alinsky, and the campaign to prevent the Supreme Court nomination of the ultra-conservative jurist Robert Bork. From those sources we drew inspiration and guidance,” Lloyd wrote.

Alinksy, author of the book “Rules for Radicals,” wrote that his methods were intended to guide people intent on overturning the American system.

“’The Prince’ was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power,” Alinsky explained. “’Rules for Radicals’ is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.”

U.S. base German employees get 2.4 pay raise, U.S military 1 percent

Our Military is getting only a 1.0 percent pay raise. So folks are unhappy working for the good ole USA over in Germany and want to go on strike? I have a better idea. Bring all our military home. Let Germany and the E.U. start spending their money on defense. I am tired of the world living large on our dime. We are already stretched way too thin. We are now fighting Ebola – I say enough of this nonsense. They end up getting 2.4 raise. So unfair.

The union represents about 17,000 local civilians in Germany, most of whom work at U.S. military bases. Union representatives had asked for a 3 percent raise or an 90 euros per month across-the-board increase.

Stars and Stripes

Thousands of local nationals working for the U.S. government and other foreign forces in Germany will see their wages increased by 2.4 percent, retroactive to Sept. 1, ver.di, the union representing the workers, announced Wednesday.

The agreement on the new 12-month contract came early on the second day of salary negotiations Wednesday in Bonn between the union and representatives from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Finance and the militaries of the United States, United Kingdom, France and Canada.

Those discussions were preceded by widespread protests by union members throughout Germany, including one Monday in Landstuhl, where hundreds of local civilians working for the U.S. and other foreign militaries in the Rhineland Palatinate didn’t show up for work to protest stagnant wages.[…]

“We consider this as a good result,” said Jürgen Dehnert, spokesman for the Rhineland Palatinate region of ver.di, on Wednesday.

Dehnert said he did not know what the average wage increase would be.

Achim Meerkamp, a board member of ver.di, said the agreement struck was acceptable, “especially when you consider the fiscal situation of the foreign forces and their plans to save money,” he was quoted in a union press release.

New York takes guns away from 34,500 without due process

Why should this little reported story concern us? Once again it is about Due Process. Yes, that nasty part of the Constitution that Progressives find so annoying in implementing their agenda. Should guns be kept away from the mentally ill? The standard up to now has been someone who has been committed involuntarily to a mental institution and is a danger to himself or others. Now, all we need is to have someone report you and you can lose your Second Amendment rights with no way out. It is the usual slippery slope that we begin. Hot air has the full screed, but this will get you started.

The NY Times has now released details of a database kept by Empire State law enforcement of people who have had their Second Amendment rights terminated on the basis of being “mentally unstable.” The number of people in this database – created as a result of the odious New York SAFE Act – has swollen in a little over a year to more than 34,000 names.

For the vast majority of the people on this huge list, they have never had a day in court to challenge their accusers as to their fitness to exercise their Second Amendment rights, nor have they been adjudicated as being truly dangerous. In New York you can show up on this list and lose your rights simply because some anonymous “medical professional” (who doesn’t even have to be a doctor) has reported you. A newly created database of New Yorkers deemed too mentally unstable to carry firearms has grown to roughly 34,500 names, a previously undisclosed figure that has raised concerns among some mental health advocates that too many people have been categorized as dangerous.

The database, established in the aftermath of the mass shooting in 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and maintained by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services, is the result of the Safe Act. It is an expansive package of gun control measures pushed through by the administration of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. The law, better known for its ban on assault weapons, compels licensed mental health professionals in New York to report to the authorities any patient “likely to engage in conduct that would result in serious harm to self or others.”

This should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with Andrew Cuomo and the New York Democrat party. Efforts to get this blatantly unconstitutional law overturned in the courts have thus far failed, but this revelation should add new fuel to the fire and inspire people to redouble their efforts.
