John Boehner thinks we are such a pain in the butt, mocks us

Saturday, and I come home to this. It is enough to throw in the towel isn’t it? How easy he forgets how he got to his position.

House Speaker John Boehner mocked his colleagues for not tackling immigration reform during a rotary club meeting. The second video? He is certifiable.

And that is why I no longer donate to the Republican Party. Every time they call or write asking for money I tell them they will get my money when they go back to supporting conservatism. Under the current chair, they doubled down on thumbing their nose at conservatives. The Republican Party is now a party of progressives and I will be damned if I will support it under those terms. It is high time that we had a third party that is loyal to true conservative principles because the Republicans are no longer the political Party of Reagan, they are RINOs.

The roll call vote for speaker as Mr. Boehner weathered defections from the rank and file to defeat Ms. Pelosi by a vote of 220 to 192. Other nominees — among them the defeated House member and Tea Party firebrand Allen B. West of Florida; Mr. Boehner’s own second-in-command, Representative Eric Cantor of Virginia; and retired Gen. Colin L. Powell — drew 14 protest votes from members of both parties.

The tension around Mr. Boehner, who was elected unanimously by House Republicans two years ago, showed in the long, pomp-filled roll call vote, in which each member was called on to publicly announce a choice. A dozen Republicans either voted for someone other than Mr. Boehner, voted “present” or remained silent even though they were in the chamber. It was not until the very last votes that Mr. Boehner cleared the majority he needed.

Well, if Boehner thinks we are a pain in the butt, we must be doing something right. ( I’m trying my best to think positive; but the only thing I’m positive of is that America, as an idea, is lost.)

He’s a refection of those who voted for him, in house and out – (except for the vipers who put him in that opportune situation to begin with) – Thick of head pawns, dead of conscience and reality.

I think they figure ‘their own family members are all taken care of’ by their blood signed contract. But, when you’re dealing w/ liars, how can they know that for sure – deluded? Something else is going on & maybe that’s why Boner cries?
Glad you’re back at the bunker! Here’s some bunkers started back during the WWII stockade – still building new ones today. Some pixs (about 5 examples): https://www.flickr.com/photos/ncreedplayer/3946409290/in/photostrea Army & Navy bases, Hawthorne, NV.

Disgraceful, disgusting. Really helpful video clips for MSNBC to promote, though. With friends/leadership like Mr. Boehner, who needs Nancy Pelosi – the Progressives have all there Republican bashing material they need from him. Wouldn’t it be something to have a Trey Gowdy or Louie Gohmert in leadership? Just dreaming, I guess.

Why we don’t beats me. So many good House members that one never hears about unless at a House hearing. Why they picked this jackass says it all.

I read the house rules a while back. Now I could be wrong, They vote on speaker at the beginning of each new congress, but nothing says they couldn’t hold new vote on another during the session. Guess it’s never been done, who rocks the boat? Even democrats vote when republicans in majority. Why would they vote against Boehner? We need the citizen/patriot rockin’ pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu to hit congress come November.
Last sentence is all I know for sure.

I know I’m naïve, but until I read that I just figured the majority in control picked their speaker. Suppose that republican majority is divided, at 50/50 one democrat could pick the republican he wants. Maybe they divided 80/20, demos vote in block to pick one they prefer. Thus, Boehner.
If I understand what I read right. And I don’t know who voted how. Maybe the whole danged majority republicans picked him.
Anyway, they all like their rules, unless their decide to nuke them.

    No kidding!

We need to put an end to career politicians. Limit them to two terms — consecutive or otherwise. Constitutional Amendment!
