I hear the song “Don’t cry for me New Jersey” ringing in my ear. We can only hope this is the end of Chris Christie’s political career. For those who might shed a tear, here are a few posts from my way back machine, from a little blogger who cares a whole lot. It’s pay to play in New Jersey or you get your road shut down. No wonder Obama and he hit it off so well.
Chris Christie raking in the money from Dems – add George Soros to the list June 4, 2013 — bunkerville.
TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie is cashing in donations from top Democratic fundraisers and other traditionally liberal donors across the country, even nabbing the support of a handful of rainmakers aligned with President Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a Star-Ledger review of state and federal records shows.
The checks are flying into the Republican governor’s war chest from all sorts of unlikely places — the hedge fund run by liberal billionaire George Soros, for example, and the politically progressive halls of the University of California, Berkeley.
The Star-Ledger review found:
•â Five executives at Soros Fund Management have chipped in a combined $19,000 to the governor’s re-election campaign, state records show. The donor roll includes Soros’ protégé and chief investment officer, Scott Bessent, who tends to fund liberal Democrats, and Sender Cohen, a partner at the hedge fund who more often favors Republicans.
•John Doerr, a top Democratic fundraiser and venture capitalist in California, sent Christie the maximum $3,800 donation for the Republican primary this year. So did his wife. Federal records show the couple has given more than $1.2 million to national Democrats since 1997.
•Tim Mullen, a Chicago investor who gave more than $100,000 to Emanuel’s campaign for mayor in 2011 and bundled from $200,000 to $500,000 for Obama in 2008, has also sent Christie a maximum donation, as has his wife Alice. Mullen was already a Christie donor in 2009, state records show. NJ Star Ledger

N.J. turns away non-union power crews – Christie cut his deal
How desperate is hurricane-ravaged New Jersey? Not desperate enough to suspend a union monopoly that keeps the state in the bottom ten states for economic competitiveness (and #48 for business friendliness). Relief crews from Alabama who were specifically called to New Jersey found themselves diverted to Long Island, NY after they arrived because they use non-union labor. Alabama is a right-to-work state.
Mitt Romney and Chris Christie on Climate Change
At about 5.15 minutes in, it gets rare with Chris. He intends to eliminate all coal plants, and create off shore wind. Green energy coming your way New Jersey! Enjoy the view

Today, Governor Christie discussed why RGGI isn’t working to help reduce C02 emissions and why we need renewable energy strategies to lead New Jersey into a Green future. May 26, 2011. (Transcript Below)
“First, a couple of preliminary things. In the past I’ve always said that climate change is real and it’s impacting our state. There’s undeniable data that CO2 levels and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere are increasing. This decade average temperatures have been rising, temperature changes are affecting weather patterns and our climate…….
Just say oops or no to Chris Christie

Mark Levin puzzled by Ann Coulter’s bizarre endorsement of Chris Christie, who supports gun control, amnesty, Obamacare, and climate legislation
What is your great love of Chris Christie based on? The man supports gun control. The man appoints a radical Islamist to a judgeship. The man is for amnesty [for illegal aliens]. The man is, to some extent, part of the “green” movement. He campaigned for Michael Castle.

The taxes should be on the low side. Quite a plus.

While Benghazi, the IRS, and the NSA scandals deserve the attention this is getting I cannot help but smile at the prospect that this has ended Christie’s presidential aspirations.

Bingo…Along with former governor John Corzine’s being an out and out criminal in the state house and in the financial markets it was easy for NJ democrat voters as well as democrat elite insiders to support Christie in 2009 thereby separating themselves from him and his eventual prosecution for his actions at MF Global. Christie’s image as a united is just that, an image and a bunch of bull. He is Obama in a white man’s extra large clothing. The only “big tent” here is his BVD’s. As NJ voters we really have had no choice in 2009 and again in 2013. His opponent last fall, Barbara Buono, who with her record of supporting any tax beginning with the letter “T” and any issue to the left of center, was made known during the campaign and actually turned off a great many democrat voters. So then in November, 2016 we may vote for the criminally negligent daughter of Alinsky or the other rat bastard traffic cop Christie. I just might stay home that day and complete plans to move to Costa Rica.

Unfortunately, unless one lives in the area, one doesn’t follow the week to week nastiness and corruption. It is curious that they decided to take him out now. But then again, with the federal probe coming the media can talk about it as a distraction when need be.

Since I am as old as I am, I don’t see much point in leaving the country and trying to start over. I suppose I could learn Spanish, but I don’t think I will have to go to Costa Rica to use it.
Anyway, just out of curiosity, what about Chile instead of Costa Rica?
