I was determined to find a feel good story for this Holiday week. Sure enough, the Libs are getting a taste of that which they have bequeathed on millions of us. Explain this Professors to your student sycophants. See, it’s not just those nasty capitalist money grubbers that are out there laying waste to the worker bees.
Adjunct professors at Austin Community College will see their work hours cut as a result of Obamacare’s new regulations, KXAN-TX reported Monday.
ACC officials met with many of the college’s 1,200 adjunct employees Monday to tell them that all part-time employees would be capped at 28 hours per week.
The move was made so that ACC would avoid having to offer the adjunct employees’ health insurance. Under the Affordable Care Act, all employees working 30 or more hours per week must receive health insurance from their employer.

A feel good story to a point. I actually had a few professors that were not libs. I would feel bad if they got caught in this net. But overall, yes, a feel good story,.

This is a feel good story because these professors all supported Barack Obama and they never felt Obamacare would affect them. I am glad to see they are getting what they voted for, and I do not feel sorry for them in the least, it is just too bad the rest of us have to feel the pain for their stupidity.

What no waivers for the indoctrination class? Unlike the capitalist pigs they warn their students about these comrades surely will have no problem sacrificing their health care coverage and their own dollars. I am not terribly sad over this. I worked in that system for 25 years. This is a business entity. One that helps move the liberal agenda forward at the taxpayer’s expense. It Costs $200B to Manage $500B In Federal Grants
We don’t need to have degrees in underwater basketweaving or sex ed for dummines. We need people to understand basic math, reading and writing. Really, i find it grotesque that we are paying college educators to teach basic skills. Honestly, ACC is huge just like too many other community colleges that feed off the taxpayer trough. As for ACC, they did hire a former CPA as their new President. There will be more bottom line cuts.

Actually I have a good deal of respect for community colleges. It where I got my start. They did offer their best in bringing people up to speed . But the politics were far off the left edge.

They do their best, but let’s not forget that they feed at the trough well. Too many degrees fall in the underwater basketweaving category. They won’t lead to jobs. I always felt that they were degrees which allowed the student to mature, not necessarily to engage in the work force. Far too many of my students did not belong at a community college. The grant money attracted them to an easy lifestyle (I had one student recruited from the interior of Mexico looking for a hubby.) Many were extremely bright, but lazy (they were not ready for college). Then there were those who worked and went to school in the evenings to move forward in life. For them, there just were not enough hours in the day. They made teaching wonderful.
Unfortunately, the politics are far left. Richard Rhodes, ACC’s president is looking at the bottom line. Don’t get me wrong about the faculty. I know what it is like to work a part time position. It’s always going to be about the bottom line. Same thing happened to our local college.
