Christianity faces being wiped out of the “biblical heartlands” in the Middle East because of mounting persecution of worshippers, according to a new report.
As we wind down this year and the season of holiday cheer comes to and end, it is easy to pass by one of the biggest stories that was under reported. That being the attack on Christianity throughout much of the world. Let us keep our brothers and sisters in our prayers. Here we go:
The study warns that Christians suffer greater hostility across the world than any other religious group.
And it claims politicians have been “blind” to the extent of violence faced by Christians in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The most common threat to Christians abroad is militant Islam, it says, claiming that oppression in Muslim countries is often ignored because of a fear that criticism will be seen as “racism”.
The report, entitled Christianophobia, highlights a fear among oppressive regimes that Christianity is a “Western creed” which can be used to undermine them.
The “lion’s share” of persecution faced by Christians arises in countries where Islam is the dominant faith, the report says, quoting estimates that between a half and two-thirds of Christians in the Middle East have left the region or been killed in the past century.
“There is now a serious risk that Christianity will disappear from its biblical heartlands,” it claims.
The report shows that “Muslim-majority” states make up 12 of the 20 countries judged to be “unfree” on the grounds of religious tolerance by Freedom House, the human rights think tank.
It catalogues hundreds of attacks on Christians by religious fanatics over recent years, focusing on seven countries: Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria, India, Burma and China.
State hostility towards Christianity is particularly rife in China, where more Christians are imprisoned than in any other country in the world, according to the report.

The time is ripe for an encore “911” attack in this country now that it is fashionable and acceptable for our leftist politicians and the media to blame Trump for terrorist attacks around the globe. And with the vapid “American People”, you know those who are sending anti-Judeo Christian’s and self proclaimed socialists and communists to Congress, unwilling and unable to see their country going down the crapper as the Islamists have penetrated every level of our government as well as every institution it is indeed time for an attack.
Here’s an extra: The NJSIAA- New Jersey Interscholastic Athletics Assiciation has made it acceptable for turbans to be worn by student athletes into the field of play during high school baseball games. My question is since Seiks are allowed to carry a knife onto airplanes to accommodate their religious beliefs will the student athletes be allowed to carry a knife in their turban unto the field of play? The end is near…,

If this is a “victory”, it is a hallow one. After they kill or run off all the Jews and Christians, they will be left with only themselves upon which to feed their blood lust.

A lot of this has to do with the West funding the Wahhabis back in the 70s and continuing to support them in exchange for their destabilization services. Syria is a country with an anicent Christian community that has been living with Muslims for a long time. Enter the “rebels” with their new shiny Benghazi rockets and now they are literally cutting up Christians and feeding them to the dogs.
Ditto for Libya, which was tolerant among Muslim dominated counties. Iraq also had a stable Christian population, as did Egypt (althought the Christians there did suffer persecution, but boy howdy has the Western backed Muslim Brotherhood cranked up the heat on them)
Christians in Iran actually can run for parliament, however “converting” a Muslim to Christianity is what brings the blasphemy laws down on you. The one place where it really, really stinks to be a Christian is Saudi Arabia, home to all sorts of US foreign aid, base for radical Wahabbism (the Muslim equivalent of snake handler- wackos.) But they’re just wacko enough for our government to deal handsomely with. The Saudi Prince Bin Talal Talaweed is the #2 shareholder at Fox News, who always advocates for the bombing of his religious and economic enemy Iran. How convenent.

The West did not fund the Wahhabi madrasas in the Islamic world–Saudi Arabia did, and still is. The US government should have leaned on the Saudi government back in the 1980s and 1990s to get them to knock it off, but without a policy for US energy independence, this was a non-starter.

Muslims do not tolerate diversity. The self-righteous lefties should be driving their cars with ‘Diversity’ and ‘Tolerance’ should take their campaign to the Middle East and North Africa

This ‘acting’ prez is not American or “for America,” but works for those who dishonestly got him in – The “infective agent” America’s Trojan virus.
Connecting this to the ‘dependance on foreign oil’ – USA has it’s own resources, never did need to import. So, the ? is why did ‘certain leaders’ set that up? It sure wasn’t “for America” or business here – rather part of the 100 year plan of destruction: http://www.newsrealblog.com/2010/01/11/the-progressives-100-year-plan-to-end-america/

Christianity, as evidenced by church attendance, appears to be on the wane in many Western countries, too.
I think that I know why.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. — Matthew 5:13 (KJV)
So many churches have watered down doctrine and Christian principles — and replaced them with the social gospel and moral relativism. Heresy!

That’s true however while people may have left the “church”, they haven’t left Christ. A lot of the church “has left the building”, and are seeking, I believe, for a return to biblical discipleship which teaches and lives all that Christ commanded, disciples making disciples. FieldUSA is one organization that is trying to help in that regard.

You make an important point. We don’t need to be in a structure to be a seeker. An interesting group you mentioned. God bless you for your work.

I agree that a lot of people have found Christ elsewhere — that is, outside the four walls of a church building. I am one of those people who abandoned the Methodist church when that denomination strayed so far away from Biblical precepts. When new graduates of seminary started saying that Jesus was a transvestite, I was out the door. Something similar happened with my friends who were Episcopalians.
However, we see so many following the social gospel and abandoning the very concept of putting aside sin so as to walk with the Lord.
Just this Christmas Season, the old church up the street from me (church founded in 1914) abandoned one of the traditions that church had celebrated for over 100 years: the candlelight Christmas Eve service. The new minister there is anti-Semitic like you wouldn’t believe! She also openly states that there is no such thing as sin; therefore, we must “accept people the way they are” — whatever that means.I have noted that under her pastorship attendance at that church has gone to nothing.
