Gun Control? Recall Waco, Ruby Ridge

Now that “Fast and Furious” apparently didn’t do the job in achieving Gun Control for Obama and crew, a gift was given with the Newtown killings. For those of us who might be interested in the History of the Government and its role in deadly killings I have done a brief review. One of the worst was the Clinton’s debacle. Now that the two of them have been rehabilitated by the MSM, I highly suggest taking a look in my  “way back posts” of the Clintons where over 80 were slaughtered.

From an earlier post of mine.Clinton’s and their Waco slaughter

It has been the Federal Government that has a history of violence without condemnation from the left. A great read on this history can be found here Little Akex in Wonderland. The spawn of Oklahoma City was created. For Ruby Ridge Storm Front.  Washington Examiner has a piece: How Clinton exploited the Oklahoma bombing

Those on the left, like Clinton, seemed to be longing for the violence to come. Perhaps because they realize they are going to lose power without spilling a single drop of blood, and there is nothing they can do about it. At least if they were to incite violence, the government would have a reason to step in and shut down the protests. VA Right

Some of the children murdered in the Waco Massacre by Bill & Hillary Clinton and the ATF and FBI. Who are the Terrorists? From: Clintons and their Waco Slaughter:

Mrs Clinton grew more and more impatient as the Waco stand-off came to dominate the headlines during the early months of the Clinton administration, said Bell. It was she, according to Bell’s sources, who pressured a reluctant Janet Reno to act.

“Give me a reason not to do this,” Reno is said to have begged aides shortly before orders were issued for the final assault.

Western Hero sends us these factoids.

All Bloomberg lacks is an armband and a Charlie Chaplin mustache.

It is an emotional topic, and I can understand the gun-haters’emotional outbursts, but we must respond with charity and the facts.

Fact #1: Violent crime is down from 2000 to 2009, as is the use of a firearm in commission of a crime.

Here are a few excellent links:

Aweful Reactions to Sandy Hook Shooting

Here is a link to an DOJ report:

US DOJ Report: Criminal Victimization, 2009

Some excerpts from the report:

“For overall violent crime, firearms, knives, and other weapons were used in about equal proportions”

Weapons were used in 22% of all violent crimes in 2009

“Between 2000 and 2009, the overall rate of firearm violence declined from 2.4 to 1.4 victimizations per 1,000 persons age 12 or older (table 10).”

Firearms were used in about 8% of all violent crime incidents in 2009.

During the 10-year period, about 6% to 9% of all violent crime incidents were committed with firearms”

Established facts and Christian charity must be our departure point in our search for answers.

Listen up, you small men with big mouths. Gun control is coming. You can learn to deal with the fact that you can hunt, defend your home, have fun shooting targets, etc with types of firearms that pose less of a threat of mad shootings. Or you can see your Waco and Ruby Ridge death fantasies come to pass.

I won’t be morning your loss.

Thanks for adding to having a discussion that is memorable. Keep in mind that almost half of all Americans live in rural America. It is at least 30 minutes for any 911 call. Meanwhile you city slicker crime infested drug lords get on the interstate and come to plunder and rape. We are here and at the ready. We will die before we give up our guns. Ask the japs who got interned into the camps how they felt about the government.

Excellent piece, Bunkerville. But we shouldn’t get bogged down with FACTS right? This battle, this time is going to be very tough. Emotions are running so high – understandably. Very much hope cooler heads will prevail over time.
Was most disappointed with “Cheaper Than DIrt’s decision. They sure damaged their brand by their reaction.
    Keep up the great work!

Oh, MY definition of GUN CONTROL? Use both hands to grip the gun and keep the sights on target … THAT is GUN CONTROL!

At least these kids got it quick and weren’t barbequed alive like in Waco. Government monopoly of guns is a recipe for genocide.

    Thank you for the bump!
Every group with an agenda needs an ‘other.’ And agenda-driven progressives never miss an opportunity. Given the election results, I really do believe this incident could drive a sea change in this nation. They have all the levers now, the presidency, academia and the media. I predict an unprecedented propaganda push.

You make some good points and thanks for the link. So far the supremes seem willing to support the 2nd, but it may be so onerous to own one. Let’s keep our eye on ammo. My hunch that is where they will strike.

For the Left, the ends always justify the means. Their long-term goal is to disarm America. Only then will they feel safe from our resistance.
