Hacked DC elections test site testifies – Easy to do!

Anyone still wondering how we are going to lose our country? Not by an army, but simply by installing a corrupt election process that turns us into a Banana Republic.

Recall the post earlier Foreign Company owns U.S. election software?

“Obama donor’s company funds controversial election firm” reads the headline. We now are turning over our election software to a foreign company that happens to support Obama. Drudge reports that the  best part is that the election results are redirected not to a USA server, but to a server overseas.

Now we move on to the “test”

After Halderman’s attack, election officials said they would no longer allow ballots to be returned over the Internet as planned in November. Instead, officials plan to allow overseas voters to download their ballots from the Internet and return them by fax, mail or e-mail, which will not be secret. Halderman said that system seemed to be less vulnerable.

A University of Michigan professor who with his students hacked a prototype D.C. voting website and had it play the school’s fight song said today it will be decades, if ever, before voting can be performed safely over the Internet.

J. Alex Halderman, a computer science professor, has been participating in a test of Washington’s new “Digital Vote By Mail” system, which was supposed to allow some 900 D.C. overseas voters submit ballots over the Internet.

During the test, which began last week, not only was Halderman’s group able to get the site to play the fight song, they also changed cast votes to “evil science fiction robots” and gained access to video cameras monitoring a board of elections data center.

Halderman’s hack prompted election officials to take down the system for several days, but it went back up on Tuesday. Halderman said that on Thursday his group changed the password to part of the system to “InternetVotingIsDangerous!” and locked officials out. The test of the system was supposed to end today. Way back when, my grandmother (d. 1981), the computer genius trained by IBM in the days when women were usually overlooked by the techie world, told me that she could wire any voting machine to make the votes come out any way she wanted.

    Being a smartass, I didn’t believe her.

    I do now.

In fact, my husband and I once wired a slot machine to pay off or not — according to our whim.

I am reminded of The Twilight Zone; some of the stories on that show were about how we would become slaves to our technology.

I watch some of the replays, and it is amazing. So you started out with the Birchers! – at least it was a Bircher who gave it to me.”None dare call it treason” and was given to me when I wsa 14 and never forgot it. Not one nanosecond.

We have already lost this election and Barack Obama has already won, the only real question remaining is how much is Obama going to win by?

Obama is just catching up with Chavez. That should give you a warm fuzzy feeling. Introducing electronic voting was one of his very first moves 13 years ago.

    Honesty and transparency? Where?

I agree. He would not be aggravating the GOP if he thought he was in trouble. I will keep my eye on “Americans Elect”. A third party that few know is sponsored by Obama, as well as Soros who bacl in 2004 was said to be making sure that the Dems had Secretaries of States– those whose only job to certify State elections, were in place.

*SIGH* Can you say 1776, v2.0? I knew you could. Why do you think that the “power mongers” have been working so hard for the last 80 years to take worthwhile combat weapons from We The People? If I’m not horribly mistaken, almost every gun control law inflicted in violation of the 2A has been at the hands of demoncraps. They know why that Amendment was placed in the Bill of Rights, and it scares the bejeezus out of them. And Joe Average Citizen didn’t stand up in 1934, nor has he stood up particularly since. What part of “Shall Not Be Infringed” do they not understand? They understand, they just ignore it.

That’s my theory. And I’ve had that theory for about 40 years, watching the demoncraps since the 60’s. I was shocked by the JFK assassination, but didn’t think about politics really, just shocked that I saw that on tv, and my parents were upset. But, for some reason Bobby Kennedy’s killing woke me up. I have been a political junkie since I was single digits old.

Have you guys seen that show Eureka about the defense contractor town full of super-geniuses? It’s a pretty cute show. Anyway, when it comes time to vote, the average IQ sheriff looks mystified as to where the voting machines are. The townsfolk laugh themselves silly and say all of those devices could be very easily hacked, we only have paper ballots in this town!

Everyone knows that some kind of fix is in, but it appears to be happening in many ways, with obscure last minute “rule changes”. to missing ballots, to (in the case of Maine) just not counting the last 15% of the precincts. I’m learning through all this the many ways the Elite manipulates our elections.

It is absurd that we are allowing citizens to vote over the internet. This is only going to produce more fraud at the voter booth, or voter computer. Santorum’s ticked about the Michigan delegates. I would be too if I were in his place. Romney and the establishment are a bunch of dirty tricksters.

I think that all of this voting by mail is about as strange as well. If people cannot get to the polls and take the time, well too bad. Too many ballots can get “lost”

This election fraud is not just being used for Obama. It is used for all of the establishment candidates. The blatant fraud going on in the Republican nomination right now is revolting, and what’s even worse is that the media won’t even touch the rampant fraud that was going on in Iowa, Maine, and Nevada. There are entire counties in Iowa that were simply never counted! Clark County in Nevada had an election where you had to promise that you couldn’t attend the morning caucuses because of religious reasons (I think the constitution has something to say about that). You don’t even want to get me started on Maine. Watchthevote.com has some pretty damning data IMO.

Thanks for adding this, as it was on my mind to talk about as well. The Michigan fraud of changing the delegate count at the last minute was hardly covered at all. How did we ever get to such a bizarre primary process? Thanks for the link.
