Obama: ‘Contraceptives prevent ovarian cancer’

So Obama pulls off some more razzle dazzle. The best part is now contraceptive services prevent various cancers including ovarian cancer so the man says. The quote is in about the first minute of the video below. Tell me how this works.

The Catholic Church somehow is resolved of this issue by the insurance company not the Catholic Church providing this service.

President Obama just announced his plan to “accommodate” religious organizations being forced to provide free contraception. And guess what: he thinks the American people are idiots.

H/T: The Blaze/ Here’s what I mean:

  1. Obama just said that he won’t force employers with religious reservations to provide free contraception.
  2. Instead, he said he will now force the insurers to provide such services for free.
  3. But let’s ask this: who pays for those employees to have those policies? It’s the employers.
  4. Who do yo think the insurers will pass the cost of such “free” services onto? The employers.
  5. That means, in the end, employers will be paying for the “free” birth control. That’s basic economics.

For someone from the University of Chicago — home of the great free-market thinker Milton Friedman — President Obama really doesn’t seem to understand some basic economic principles. Or, maybe he does. And then the issue becomes this: he thinks he can fool you, and believes you’re not smart enough to notice.

This isn’t an accommodation or a compromise. It’s a joke. The Blaze/

White House:

Under the new policy to be announced today, women will have free preventive care that includes contraceptive services no matter where she works.  The policy also ensures that if a woman works for religious employers with objections to providing contraceptive services as part of its health plan, the religious employer will not be required to provide contraception coverage, but her insurance company will be required to offer contraceptive care free of charge.

The new policy ensures women can get contraception without paying a co-pay and addresses important concerns raised by religious groups by ensuring that objecting religious employers will not have to provide contraceptive coverage or refer women to organizations that provide contraception.  Background on this policy is included below: White House

I’ve been taking contraceptives longer than Obama’s been the president. My mother had ovarian cancer, and the doctors said that contraceptives can help prevent ovarian cancer up to 60%. Maybe if people looked beyond their narrow hatred of Obama and fact-checked, they’d become free thinkers themselves. How far back in decades have we gone that women shouldn’t take contraceptives for whatever reason? Furthermore, in my short life of 47 years, our population has more than doubled–what’s it going to be like in 47 more years? There are all kinds of good reasons for contraception. And they’re a lot cheaper than anti-depressants that so many people choose to take, because they would rather suck up a bunch of pills than go out and exercise! Why should crutches like anti-depressants and restless leg syndrome meds be covered over contraception. What a bunch of backward neanderthals our country has become. It’s embarrassing, and other countries joke about how we’ve become a bunch of ignorant religious fanatics. We have bigger problems than this and need to show the world that we’re more intelligent than this and support women and support their health.

Where the hell does he get the authority to order insurance companies to provide any service for free? And, you right. The insurance companies will pas the the cost in one way or another back to the employers. The Catholic Church is being played.

It turns out now that a number of Catholic institutions have their own insurance. How does that work for them?? What else now are they going to force Insurance companies to do and not do??

You nailed it on the compromise really not making a difference. I just commented something similar at another place.

I think a lot of Catholics just found out how badly they had been had in 08.

You can blame the ‘progressives’…but the effacy of contraception with respect to ovarian cancers is widely accepted in the medical community. Blame your doctor.

OK if you want to go medical, how about the increase in DVT– blood clots, Breast cancer? Anyway, it is not about health, but the government infringing on our liberties. What happens to the old folks when the government wants to deny a treatment? There will be no advocates. Thats what these so called panels, institutes are all about.

Please read about your subject before you post misinformation. One of the risk factors for ovarian cancer is a longer time being fertile, i.e., menustrating/producing eggs. In that way, doctors believe that reducing the time period a woman does this, reduces her risk of ovarian cancer. I’m not debating contraception; pregnancy has the same health benefit. I’m just asking that you please not spread bad information to women who may be at risk of developing ovarian cancer.

So go ahead and follow the dictates of the Progressives. It would be cheaper for everyone not to have children, or perhaps you would permit one child? And lets continue the genocide of african americans. Contraception is not a treatment nor pregnancy a disease.

The endgame is to be like China, where the population commodity is controlled. It doesn’t have to make sense – it’s crazy as the devil himself.

Barack Obama did not change his policy, he simply reworded it but it is the same. He really does believe that we are too stupid to see what he is up to and I only hope that the Catholic church keeps the pressure on him until he reverses this decision.
