Foreign company owns U.S. election software-UPDATE

“Obama donor’s company funds controversial election firm” reads the headline. We now are turning over our election software to a foreign company that happens to support Obama. Drudge reports that the  best part is that the election results are redirected not to a USA server, but to a server overseas.

UPDATE:Save American Foundation:

SCYTL, the global leader in secure electronic voting technologies, announced today the acquisition of 100% of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States.

Why is a software company based in Barcelona Spain(SCYTL)  now in charge of counting our votes in the upcoming General Election on November 6th.  Did the Federal Elections Commission approve of this ?  (FEC) Did the Congress of the United States approve of this ?
Was this done by an Executive Order from the White House ?

Now this is really a surprise to those of us who believe that Obama will stop at nothing to get re-elected. Even without dirty hands, why in the world we  go this route? Just asking.

The firm already provides balloting for overseas U.S. military and civilian voting in nine states along with elections technologies in several districts

With the purchase of SOE Software, meanwhile, SCYTL has increased its involvement in the U.S. elections process. SOE Software boasts a strong U.S. presence, providing results in over 900 jurisdictions.

In 2009, SCYTL formally registered with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (AEC) as the first Internet voting manufacturer in the U.S. under the EAC Voting System Testing and Certification Program.

Project Vote noted that in 2008, the Florida Department of State commissioned a review of SCYTL’s remote voting software and concluded, in part, that:

  • The system is vulnerable to attack from insiders.
  • In a worst case scenario, the software could lead to (1) voters being unable to cast votes; (2) an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters; and (3) possible disclosure of confidential information, such as the votes cast by individual voters.
  • The system may be subject to attacks that could compromise the integrity of the votes cast.

The Drudge Report yesterday ran a feature titled “Foreign company buys U.S. election results reporting firm.” The article documented that SCYTL, based in Barcelona, acquired 100 percent of SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States.

Bob McCarthy who is involved in this, is a prominent supporter of Obama.

McCarthy was invited to the “Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Winter Retreat” in Miami Beach in January 2010 at the Ritz Carlton South Beach Resort. Attendants were reportedly told that the “dress for the weekend is casual.”

The Democratic senators slated for the weekend event were Robert Menendez, Debbie Stabenow, Tom Carper, Frank Lautenberg, Benjamin L. Cardin, Robert P. Casey, Claire McCaskill, Amy Klobuchar, Kay Hogan and Mark Begich. Independent Bernie Sanders also was invited.

I sounded the alarm in 2008. Here we see absolutely nothing has been done, and now we see the elections will be even easier to rig.

With this, we are no more than a Banana Republic. Yet not a peep. When I voted last time, there was simply a sheet overlay this was moveable and clipped to front of the thing. Anyone could have switched the cover and would have been hitting whatever– similar to the old Commodore 64 , and am I showing my age.

  5. silverfiddle Says:

This has gotten way out of hand. Chavez won in Venezuela last time by essentially programming the machines to report the exact opposite of what was voted.

Add this to the third party effort “Americans Elect” and we have a nightmare of an election coming down the pike. I always figured he would never go away willingly/

  6. republican mother Says:

It’s not that the Republicans are clueless, many of them are totally down with the one world order. (See Newt Gingrich’s Alvin Toffler connection) Dr. Antony Sutton, after discovering that American technology was being used against American soldiers in Vietnam, took his information and facts to the Republican National Convention of 1972, where he was told in no uncertain terms to drop it. It’s time to grow up people!
Also, I found this nugget on Scytl: It’s founder Andreu Riera died at the age of 36, in an “accident”.
Am I being paranoid? Maybe, but it sure would be interesting to do a life insurance study on people in certain industries that associate with certain networks of Elites and see how really “accident prone they are”

  7. Teresa Rice Says:

It is mind boggling that the U.S. would use software that is so flawed. I am surprised that the Republicans haven’t contested us using this software since the foreign company supports Obama. This election we are going to need many watchdogs ensuring that the voting goes smoothly and no shenanigans goes on.
