GOP attempting to end Congressman Allen West’s career

We are close to coming to the end of the Grand Old Party. Last night on Mark Levin, as well as Soledad O’Brien on CNN, interviews were held with Conservative favorite and rising star Allen West.

“Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.”

Mark Levin’s interview regarding redistricting with West last night

They are attempting to re-district him into oblivion as well as others who show promise. They are doing all they can to diminish him, as well as the other “up start” Tea Party folks. Florida is adding two house seats due to redistricting. There is simply no reason to put him in a District that is made up of  a majority of Democrats. How soon they forget what brought them to victory such a short time ago. Rest in Peace GOP, Rest in Peace if you continue this charade. P.S. “In the tank for Romney”,Matt Drudge has nothing on this, yet rales against Gingrich. Here we go:

UPDATE: Silver Fiddle sent this link from a Florida site that sheds more light on this than my post:

We’re seeing how the RINOs want to take their Party back. Romney operatives, with the help of McCain and Dole, are trying to redistrict Allen West out of his seat.

[U]nder a redistricting plan put forth by the GOP-controlled Florida legislature, West could have a hard time winning a second term — a situation that has some conservatives suggesting a conspiracy by establishment Republicans, including GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. . . . Some are pointing out that House Redistricting Chairman Will Weatherford has been a Romney surrogate and suggesting the former Massachusetts governor wants to be rid of West — and, by extension, the Tea Party. (source)

Romney knows that if he’s elected West will be a thorn in his side. Better a Democrat than a Republican who speaks his mind.

Ohio Republicans are rewriting the rules in an attempt to exclude TEA Party members from being members of the State Central Committee. Establishment Republicans want Tea Party members out of office so they can spend our confiscated tax dollars their way.

Republicans haven’t been that concerned about spending limits, deficits, and long-term liabilities. In fact, they have used the looseness of the rules to pay their political benefactors with payouts to keep them in power. The Democrats are honest about their payouts; Republicans have learned to lie well.

Update: Sean Trende, the senior elections analyst at RealClearPolitics and author of “The Lost Majority,” e-mails to say that Florida’s redistricting law has tied the GOP’s hands on this. They have very little leeway on how they draw the new lines. Quote:

I can’t speak to the FL legislature’s motives, but it is nearly impossible to craft an R-leaning, non-Cuban district in SE FL under the current laws and comply with the Fair Districts Act. West’s current district runs up and down the Gold Coast, stretching inland in arms to gobble up Republican-leaning areas. It’s pretty thorough, and even then it is a swing district. Under Fair Districts, the Republican legislature can’t do that anymore. In fact, it is arguably stretching what it can do under the current iteration of West’s district. . .

SEIU thanks Marxist organization

I still  remain puzzled how the SEIU can attract so many Blue Collar workers. These are not the Blue Collars that I grew up with. Yes, they would fight for hours and benefits. Communism? No, they were pure Red, White and Blue. Here we go:

New Zeal:

I have long contended that the US’ largest and most militant labor organization the Service Employees International Union, is allied to, or subordinate to, the country’s largest Marxist organization – Democratic Socialists of America.

I highly recommend a look at the following issue link below of the DSA’s publication. Just in case anyone is still out there wondering.

Here is proof of this connection, from the latest edition of DSA’s Democratic Left, Winter 2011/2012, page 11:

Detroit DSA leader David Green wrote in Democratic Left, Spring 2007:

Our goal as socialists is to abolish private ownership of the means of production. Our immediate task is to limit the capitalist class’s prerogatives in the workplace…In the short run we must at least minimize the degree of exploitation of workers by capitalists. We can accomplish this by promoting full employment policies, passing local living wage laws, but most of all by increasing the union movement’s power…

56 Percent favor Keystone XL Pipeline

I must say I took some perverse pleasure in watching the President turn down the XL-Pipeline. Surely this would turn the tide in finally having the American citizens awake to our radical president. But no, what to my surprise when I discovered the Rasmussen poll numbers. 56 percent “somewhat” favor the pipeline. The good news I guess would be 12 percent strongly oppose. But why not more favorable opinion? Was it the way the question was raised? It is not that this pipeline is anything new. I include the map of existing lines. Meanwhile, Obama’s approval rose  last week, We are indeed losing the war. I leave this for you to ponder why we are in the fix we are. We will surely lose the election if we cannot even sell the pipeline nor people appreciate the importance.

Rasmussen Reports:

Most voters still favor building the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Texas and think it will be good for the economy despite President Obama’s decision last week to delay the project for environmental reasons.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of Likely U.S. Voters at least somewhat favor the pipeline, with 36% who Strongly Favor it. Just 27% are opposed, including 12% who Strongly Oppose the project. Sixteen percent (16%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Romney: ‘Obamacare – keep the good, repeal the bad’

Romney says: “I hope we’re ultimately able to eliminate some of the differences, and repeal the bad and keep the good.”

Florida’s Seniors best keep their ear to the ground and listen to the words of Romney if they are concerned about their Healthcare. He doesn’t mention that MA gets massive federal subsidies, among other things.  See our earlier post Mitt Romney’s adviser-‘You will not repeal Obamacare’

Here we go:

Adriennes’s Corner:

Obamacare needs to be dragged out into the sun, rubbed in garlic, shot with a silver bullet, and a stake driven through it’s heart.  After which, to be safe, it should be buried 50 feet down.

As the Reaganite Republican  pointed out:

Frankly, Mitt is lying when he says he will ‘on the first day’ (can presidents repeal legislation like that…?): RomneyCare is the template for ObamaCare, and there is precious little daylight between them… he’s never made any amends for that monstrosity, has he.

What is perhaps most interesting about the video, says Klein, is that in it Romney “does something you’ll never hear him do these days — note the similarities between” RomneyCare and ObamaCare.

Obama – How’s the Arab Spring -What’s the plan?

We are so caught up with the back and forth of self immolation of our party candidates, that we let Obama slide with his failed foreign policy. We hear bits and pieces, well below the radar, that the radical Muslims are well on their way in taking over the newly forming governments. As I have opined before, we have little in shared values with these folks, and any capacity to emulate our form of government is practically nill. So here we go, just a glimpse into the hearts and minds of our new-found friends.  First  we have:

Sam LaHood, the son of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, is among five Americans banned from leaving Egypt, officials said Thursday, heightening tensions over an Egyptian investigation into groups that promote democracy and human rights. Source: NBC Chicago

Then on to Libya:

The humanitarian aid group Doctors Without Borders said it was halting its work in detention centers in Misrata because detainees are “tortured and denied urgent medical care.”

“Patients were brought to us for medical care between interrogation sessions, so that they would be fit for further interrogation. This is unacceptable. Our role is to provide medical care to war casualties and sick detainees, not to repeatedly treat the same patients between torture sessions.”

Christopher Stokes, general director of MSF, told CNN that two detainees died — one in October and another in November — within 30 minutes of being interrogated.

In a statement, Amnesty described “widespread torture and ill-treatment of suspected pro-Gadhafi fighters and loyalists,” a reference to those who fought for the regime of leader Moammar Gadhafi until his ouster and death. More at CNN

Newt Gingrich: Government can control diet & exercise

Anyone recall Gingrich and his comment claiming that Cantor’s bill was Right Wing “Social engineering”? I have zero preference regarding the GOPer candidates at this point. But lets keep our eye out on this one. This tubby sort of guy, before the tub, had this idea? Its srarting to get a little heavy handed this Newtron Gingrich. Just what agency will keep tabs on this idea. Sure, we all need to be healthy. But are we to be bribed like children?

 A comment:”
Genetics are the biggest determining factor for heart health at any age. So basically your going to take our tax money and give it to people with the right parents.

Sebelius: ‘If the Court strikes Obamacare down, we just keep going

Lots going on with Obamacare today. I looked for the clip, and what a surprise. It was cut out of the program. No wonder I could not find it. Clever guys our Obama folks. Our Dictator in chief will not stop with the Court, his minion says. It will be war indeed over healthcare, no matter who gets elected. See the Romney post below this one, for that pickle we are in.

“There are other ways to bring healthy people into the healthcare system if the Supreme Court strikes down the individual mandate in President Obama’s healthcare law”, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in an interview Monday.

Part of Sebelius’s appearance on “The Daily Show” did not make the televised broadcast and was posted online Tuesday morning.

Sebelius said she’s confident the Supreme Court will uphold the mandate, but that there are alternatives if it doesn’t.

“I think we keep going,” she said. “We find ways to encourage people to become enrolled and become insured. And the mandate’s the fastest way to do it, and it just says, basically, everybody’s got some responsibility. But there are other ways to encourage people to come in.” The Hill

Mitt Romney’s adviser ‘You will not repeal Obamacare..’

Just in case anyone is still wondering about Romney and Obamacare. By the way, good ole boy Norm is a lobbyist now, after he lost to Franken, he went off and did what almost all of them do. I am still trying fo find which Healthcare Companies he is representing. My hunch, Big Pharma.

Mitt Romney adviser Norm Coleman, a former senator from Minnesota, predicted the GOP won’t repeal the Democrats’ healthcare reform law even if a Republican candidate defeats President Obama this November.

“You will not repeal the act in its entirety, but you will see major changes, particularly if there is a Republican president,” Coleman told BioCentury This Week television in an interview that aired on Sunday. “You can’t whole-cloth throw it out. But you can substantially change what’s been done.” Video Here

 Hot Air  Update:

Erick Erickson says this would be the end of the GOP:

In fact, the entrenched legislative bureaucracy has a great deal to do with congressional disapproval in the public. Republican staffers want to inch the ball down the field instead of fighting. Democrat staffers are far more aggressive.

If a Republican gets into the White House and does not sweat blood trying to repeal Obamacare in its entirety (regardless of success), I predict the end of the Republican Party legitimately. It won’t be worth fighting for if the party itself does not think it worth fighting for its voters. If the GOP takes back the White House, it’s voters will expect a real fight, not a half-hearted attempt.

Warren Buffett the winner Keystone Pipeline debacle

Winners and losers, always the way of the political class. Meanwhile does anyone care about America? Meanwhile old Warren sings for China on his ukulele. Happy New Year Red China! Enjoy our oil and Natural gas. The world indeed is upside down.

Warren Buffett’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp. (TRP)’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit.

With modest expansion, railroads can handle all new oil produced in western Canada through 2030, according to an analysis of the Keystone proposal by the U.S. State Department. (Chuckle time)!

“Whatever people bring to us, we’re ready to haul,” Krista York-Wooley, a spokeswoman for Burlington Northern, a unit of Buffett’s Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A), said in an interview. If Keystone XL “doesn’t happen, we’re here to haul.” From: Bloomberg   H/T: Commie Blaster

Leave Paula Deen Alone!!

OK, so I get up early, and turn on that wretched MSNBC with Morning Joe, and even more wretched Mika Brzezinski. Her rant on my poor Paula.  Oh, the wages of sin with Paula. Once the drumbeat begins, there will be no mercy for my Paula. She will be marched off the plank into the flames of food hell. How dare we enjoy a meal that is not composed of fruits and vegetables? How dare we enjoy butter which by the way, it is up for grabs how bad it is for us compared to margarine. Our palate must learn to adjust to “salt free”. Civilizations have fought over this very edible substance. So here we go, I say let us all eat cake and whatever else pleases our palate. In moderation of course!

 New York Times:

What’s more, she had waited three long, greasy years since her diagnosis to come out. (Is diabetes like being gay)? During that period, she promoted the deep-fried life without acknowledging her firsthand experience of how a person can be burned by it.

That’s the kind of thing that made me consider some past put-downs of Deen elitist. After all, she isn’t alone in exhorting people to pig out. She’s just unusually cornmeal-crusted, saucy and bewigged about it.

The problem with Paula Deen is that she has lied to her supporters not once but twice, first by promoting her “down home cooking” as if those words give some magic credence to the health factors of her food and then by attempting to fix her lifestyle choice with a magical pill which she stupidly assumes will fix all of her problems and the problems of people who live her “down home  lifestyle” Inquisitr
