So, what’s your take on this?
“If you have a big government progressive, or a big government progressive in Obama… ask yourself this, Tea Party: is it about Obama’s race? Because that’s what it appears to be to me. If you’re against him but you’re for this guy [Gingrich], it must be about race. I mean, what else is it? It’s the policies that matter.”
Beck should be careful… if he’s going to assume a Tea Partier who might end up pulling the lever for “big government progressive” Gingrich over “big government progressive” Obama is doing so purely for racial reasons, then said Tea Partier might return the favor and assume that Beck’s playing of the race card against the Tea Party means he’s decided to align himself with big government progressives such as Nancy Pelosi, Andre Carson and John Lewis. Update: Beck says he’d consider voting Ron Paul in a third party instead of Gingrich as the GOP nominee. The result of course will be an Obama 2nd term. Nice Glenn.

Gingrich is more of a pragmatist than in favor of big government. If you listen to his interview with Beck his answers make sense. He is in favor of limited government and the reduction of certain agencies agendas. Since he isn’t for the elimination of certain agencies like Ron Paul is of course purist libertarians are going to see Newt as for “big government” when he is for a limited government that is bigger than Ron Paul’s version. A third-Party candidate would ensure a 2nd term for Obama. If Beck was really thinking straight he would understand this. While Gingrich may not be the ideal candidate he will not be a liberty-killer like Obama. Gingrich has stated that he will rollback much of Obama’s/Democrats legislation and regulations.
The comments Beck made were offensive and disturbing.

There were two parts to the Judge N interview. I really think part 1 needs to be viewed in order to understand
the comments of part 2.

Plus this from his GBTV show … he shows lots of examples of Newt as a progressive. It is up to each individual
to decide if that matters. If it doesn’t matter, vote for Newt. If it does matter, pick someone else and don’t let the media, etc

Watch this and you will see that he was not saying the tea party was racist in the sense that everyone thinks he was saying they were racist. He was saying ask yourself …’if there is no difference in the policies of Obama and Gingrich – is it because of race?’ I bet (not literally) that there are some people in the tea party that will have to scratch their head and ponder that. Others will be a definate ‘no’.
If a person didn’t like Bush for being big government and if they don’t like Obama for being big government,
why would you want Newt who is big government.
Plus he is talking about ‘this is a primary.’ If Newt was still down in the polls, who is your candidate?
Why aren’t you supporting that person. Is it because the media tells you they don’t have a chance.
He is posing questions. We are to think – who matches our values our standards.
As for me my standards were Sarah Palin. She is not running, but her qualities are still my standard.
Newt, for me, does not measure up to those standards, I will vote in my primary for the one that is closest to her.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments, and indeed you have a point after looking at the spots you suggested. I am with you in truth. Sarah was ahead of her time in what loomed ahead of us. Do I think Gringrich and Romney are Progressives, no doubt. My point is that we must not have a third party candidate to split us. I know we are not patient. But the Progressives have been setting us up for years, getting their people in place. We will not be able to turn this thing around in one election. Concentrate on getting good men and women In the House and Senate, majorities rule the purse. Then, perhaps the next time around we will get what we want. This is not the time for temper tantrums because we cannot have it all. Stop by again.

I figured that the racist comment was to make people stop and think about what is the real difference between Obama and Gingrich. Those studied on the agendas of both will tell you absolutely nothing is different but the rhetoric. The cause of a a one world socialist state continues. I would argue that anyone but Ron Paul will guarantee an Obama victory, as in the general election, Paul will automatically get the independent and disaffected liberal votes, and honey are there a lot of them out there. Similarly, these groups will never, ever vote for Newt or any of the rest of them in a million years. The republican nomination is Dr. Paul’s greatest hurdle.
Glenn Beck does have a bad reputation for plagiarism, though, lifting everyone else’s work and acting like he just discovered it.

This is what makes politics. I find it offensive to suggest that racism plays any part in this. The Progressives have been at this for a hundred years. It will take us decades to gain real control, and push back their agenda. That said, I will go for the R most unhappily. There is nothing in the polls that indicate Paul has a chance at the Presidency. If that should change, it is another matter. Iran has just blocked the the oil shippments via the strait. I appreciate many of his positions, But we are where we are in the world right now, and they want to kill us.

I’m done with R’s personally as they really are nothing but progressives with apple pie rhetoric, and that’s all they’ve got. I’ve been waiting since 1994 to see a difference, and I’m done waiting. I’m wondering what polls you’re seeing, because the one’s I’ve been reading say Paul is the most competitive against Obama in the general. Iran is practicing a manuveur within 2 miles of their coastline, and who could blame them? As far as Iran wanting to kill “us” – where are you getting your information?

Beck is inconsistent. He’s a showman primarily, IMO.
Now, Beck did a great job in his take down of Van Jones — and with some other matters, too.
But, overall, I think that he’s not an asset to Conservatism. Indeed, he may be a liability.
And he comes off as a huckster too.

I learned a lot from his program early on, and I give him credit for that. I was not that interested in politics as I should have been. That said, 4 more of zero will finish us. It will take decades to get ourselves out of this. We need the same patience that the Progressives have shown to get us here.

Newt is no conservative, but it is a matter of degree. Given the choice between him and Obama it is no choice. I pull the lever for Newt and pray for the best.
Beck is an interesting guy, and he is responsible for millions of Americans reading or rereading the constitution, but as with any media entertainer, he should be taken with a grain of salt. If he is serious about backing a third party, he will lead millions of lemmings in getting Obama reelected.

Agree totally. Indeed, the lemmings will jump off the cliff with Beck. Anyone who thinks a third party candidate has a prayer of making it to the Presidency has not read History,no matter how well intentioned. I know I have a lot of Paul readers, but this is not the way to go IMO.
