UN document would give ‘Mother Earth’ same rights as humans

Don’t laugh. Remember that the United Nations already has an Office for Outer Space Affairs, complete with a paid physicist in the post of Ambassador to Aliens. I mean, once you’re talking to aliens, “rights” for Mother Earth is hardly a stretch.

Bolivia will this month table a draft United Nations treaty giving “Mother Earth” the same rights as humans — having just passed a domestic law that does the same for bugs, trees and all other natural things in the South American country.

The bid aims to have the UN recognize the Earth as a living entity that humans have sought to “dominate and exploit” — to the point that the “well-being and existence of many beings” is now threatened.

The wording may yet evolve, but the general structure is meant to mirror Bolivia’s Law of the Rights of Mother Earth, which Bolivian President Evo Morales enacted in January.More here  Canada Press

Bolivia is just protecting their coca crops. They could care less about “mother earth.”

Too bad they do not take advantage pf their own natural resources and get their population out of poverty… but then, we are not doing it, and are going off the cliff as well.

Ordinarily, these idiots would be discounted for the moonbats they are. However, some of them managed to achieve a measure of power.

    Let the insanity begin.

The U.N…… could we expect more?

And there is the main fault with the UN – no one in their right mind would willingly take advice from Bolivia, I mean seriously? Freaking Bolivia? What next, budget advice from the IMF…oh damn, too late. Okay, uhhh, combat guidance from Canada, like that would ever happen…crap, we did that too?!? Hmmm, does this Ambassador to Aliens have a direct line? Maybe he can get me in on a foreign exchange program.

    • bunkerville Says:

You hit all the hot ones today–IMF? We give 20 percent to them. Too bad they do not understand the cycle of nature. Fires create new growth and cutting older growth trees creates new growth for wildlife.

  5. Conservatives on Fire Says:

Well sure! Malaria carrying mosquitoes have a right to live free and bite whomever they please.
In a domcratic New World Order, when the nuts and wackos are the majority, they will rule.

“Democray” in action… as opposed to a Republic!!
