Zachary Cuddeback murdered by a Terrorist Muslim in Germany

Zachary Cuddeback was one of the two U.S. airmen killed Wednesday in Germany

Zachary Cuddeback was one of the two U.S. airmen killed Wednesday.

Airman 1st Class Zachary R. Cuddeback of Stanardsville, Va.

Arid Uka, a 21-year-old ethnic Albanian from Kosovo who was raised in Germany, has confessed to the shooting, authorities said. That’s it? How much longer are we going to live in denial?

German officials are investigating whether the fatal shooting could be considered an act of Islamic terrorism.

Uka, a devout Muslim nicknamed Abu Reyann, reportedly yelled “God is great” in Arabic as he boarded and opened fire on a bus loaded with U.S. airmen Wednesday on their way from their base in England to serve in Afghanistan, said Marine Col. Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman.

A native of Stanardsville, Va., Cuddeback, 21, joined the military in 2009 after graduating from William Monroe High School the year before.

He was a vehicle operator in the 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron at nearby Ramstein Air Base in Germany. His family said he was into cars and hockey.

A family friend, Erin Jones, told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that the Air Force “was an opportunity for Zac to find himself, and I believe he did.”

Jones said she spoke to Cuddeback on Monday and said he was enjoying his time in Germany and the Air Force.

“He was not only a soldier for our country, but he was a soldier for his family,” Jones said. “I’m very proud to call him a friend.” More at  AOL News

Nicholas J Alden murdered by a Terrorist Muslim in Germany

Air Force Senior Airman Nicholas J. Alden, 25, of Williamston, S.C., died March 2 as a result of a shooting at Frankfurt Airport, Germany, while en route to Afghanistan. He was assigned to 48th Security Forces Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom.

Sad Update:  Tragedy struck Trish Alden once more as her 2-year-old son died in an accident Saturday.

Alden’s husband and the boy’s father, Senior Airman Nick Alden of Williamston, was killed in a terrorist attack at a Frankfurt, Germany, airport in March 2011.

Alden and her family were preparing Saturday to leave for a vacation in Georgia, said Don McCown, deputy Anderson County coroner.

“They were trying to get away for a while,” he said.

It would have been the first time they had taken a vacation since Alden was shot and killed by a recently convicted terrorist.

William John Alden was trying to reach something on the top of a dresser in the family’s Anderson home, McCown said. The boy ended up pinned by the dresser drawers and died of asphyxiation, he said. Independen Mail

UPDATE:

The state court in Frankfurt convicted 22-year-old Arid Uka of two counts of murder. It also found him guilty of three counts of attempted murder and serious bodily harm for wounding two other servicemen and taking aim at a third before his 9 mm pistol jammed.

That means he won’t immediately be eligible for parole after 15 years as is usual in Germany.
Uka smiled and chatted with his lawyers before and after the sentence was announced, then sat with his eyes closed and his head downturned as the judge detailed his reasoning.

Salazar lies to Congress – says Gulf oil production at ‘all time high’

Salazar tells House Gulf oil production at ‘all-time high;’ Energy Department shows 300,000 fewer barrels produced per day. Was it a lie? Or is he just ignorant? Does it really matter? This is what is running our country. Scary isn’t it?

Salazar claims oil production in the Gulf of Mexico has remained at “an all-time high” despite the Deepwater Horizon disaster and the federal moratorium and permatorium that have stopped all deepwater drilling activity, put thousands of people in Texas, Lousiana, Mississippi and Alabama out of work, and kept the region’s energy economy mired in a deep recession.

But according to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration, Gulf oil production has dropped nearly 300,000 barrels per day since the Deepwater Horizon tragedy. Imports of foreign oil have not slowed as a result of the Middle East crisis, so it must be the Gulf slowdown that is forcing retailers to raise gas prices.

Obamacare Subsidizing McDonalds and 337 Other Illinois Benefit Plans

Recall that Pelosi said we would have to pass the bill to see what is in it? Here are a few jewels. Where is the outrage?

From the Sun Times

A federal report shows employers in Illinois received nearly $41 million last year to help them maintain health care coverage for early retirees.

The federal funding comes from a program created by the Affordable Care Act, the national health care law. In Illinois, 337 employers have been accepted into the early retiree program.

From HHS

The Affordable Care Act creates a new program called the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program to help address this challenge that employers and older employees are facing. The Early Retiree Reinsurance Program provides $5 billion in financial assistance to employers and unions to help them maintain coverage for early retirees age 55 and older who are not yet eligible for Medicare.

HHS has approved the following sponsors from Illinois. More applications are being approved each day(!) List is here of those approved at the  Chicago Daily Observer
