Key Gitmo Detainee Ordered Released

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves”¬† Abraham Lincoln. And so it goes. Our judicial system will have us surrender.

Another notch for making us look like fools to the world. It is reported that there is no way he will be released. You Betcha.

A suspected al Qaeda organizer once called “the highest value detainee” at Guant√°namo¬†Bay was ordered released by a federal judge in an order issued Monday. Mohamedou¬†Ould Slahi¬†was accused in the 9/11 Commission report of helping recruit Mohammed Atta and other members of the al Qaeda cell in Hamburg, Germany, that took part in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Military prosecutors suspected Mr. Slahi of links to other al Qaeda operations, and considered seeking the death penalty against him while preparing possible charges in 2003 and 2004. Fox news reports that the court action is classified, Follow the link¬†for lots more background from ace terror analyst Tom Joscelyn, who notes that U.S. intel had the goods on Slahi¬†long before he was interrogated. If you want to know what precisely they did to him at Gitmo, go here, type in 166 in the page field, and read through to page 171.

Among Slahi’s¬†most notorious recruits were four of the September 11 conspirators, all of whom were members of the infamous Hamburg cell. Slahi‚Äôs role in recruiting the Hamburg cell for al Qaeda is explained on pages 165 and 166 of the 9/11 Commission‚Äôs final report. Slahi arranged for Ramzi¬†Binalshibh, al Qaeda’s point man for the 9/11 operation, and three of his cohorts to travel from Germany to Afghanistan so that they could train in al Qaeda’s camps and swear allegiance to Osama bin Laden. Binalshibh’s¬†three friends were: Mohammed Atta, Marwan¬†al Shehhi, and Ziad¬†Jarrah–the suicide pilots of American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, and United Airlines Flight 93, respectively.¬†

Crook Hastings on Obamacare: “There ain’t no rules here”

How did this bad boy get into congress?¬† Why is he still there? Not much differenct from the rest, but got caught. That’s all.

The real principles of the machine were articulated by Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings who was impeached and removed from the bench as a federal judge, before being elected to the House when he said “”There ain’t no rules here, we’re trying to accomplish something. . . .All this talk about rules. . . .When the deal goes down . . . we make ’em up as we go along.”¬†¬†

The council (which was led by former Watergate prosecutor John Doar and comprised of the active appeals court judges for that circuit and three U.S. District judges) found that Hastings not only had solicited a bribe, but also repeatedly lied during his trial.

Following this report, the House Judiciary Committee approved seventeen articles of impeachment against Hastings. Sixteen dealt with the bribery case, while one centered around Hastings’ improper revelation of sensitive government information obtained through a federal wiretap in 1985. In late 1988, the articles passed the House by a vote of 413-3. The Senate, following a trial by a twelve-member committee, chose to convict Hastings on eight of the articles, but opted not to restrict him from seeking federal elected office in the future (which it had the authority to do).

Alito: Court Wrong to Deny ‚ÄėAve Maria‚Äô Case

Well, of course, the 9th¬†Circuit Court of Appeals– land of¬† bankrupt¬†CA, both morally and fiananically.Where else? No Ava maria. Too religious.Even as we speak, hearings are going on for the “38 year old¬†candidate for the 9th, who has no judgeship experience, but did head up part of¬† Zero’s transition team”. A must read.

On Monday the high court announced it will not hear the appeal of Kathryn Nurre who with other classmates was prohibited from performing an instrumental version of the popular tune at their graduation ceremony from an Everett, Washington high school.

The school’s principal after consultation with other officials struck the song from the graduation program. District superintendent Carol Whitehead justified the decision by reasoning that “many people would see [the song] as religious in nature.”

Justice Alito announced his disagreement with the high court’s decision to stay out of the case by writing the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals decision “is not easy to square with our free speech jurisprudence.”

Obama Restores Cash-Strapped ACORN’s Funding As Reward For HealthCare Support

Acorn Closing their Doors? Then where is the money going? Just another front name?

President Obama has quietly moved behind the scenes to restore full funding to the radical group ACORN, which was his former employer and legal client.

In a move ignored by the media, OMB director Peter Orszag circulated a directive to federal agencies ordering them to begin funding ACORN again. ACORN is the hyperpartisan lead group in the Health Care for America Now (HCAN) coalition and has long supported a government takeover of the U.S. health care system.

The fiscal floodgates will soon re-open for ACORN despite a congressional ban on funding the activist group that has long been a practitioner of election fraud.

In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning and encouraging a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.  The Czars keep pushing forward. EPA is the next in line with Mandates for the States.
