John Kerry gets Zero support for Syrian non-war from ‘our’ Middle East ‘Allies’

Lerch has been once again tooling around the Middle East, searching for “the willing” to support Obama and his almost plan. The Brits, Germany and Turkey were quick to say “count us out”. They have had enough of this foolishness. The Libya and Egypt fiasco should have taught all of “the willing” how far throwing in with a loser will take them. Still looking for someone to put those ole boots on the ground. Why would Egypt and the UAE even be involved after just a few weeks ago, Obama and the EU reamed them out for trying to save the Tripoli airport from the Terrorists. Recall this nonsense?

Obama’s wacko Libyan policy. Attacks UAE and EGYPT for trying to save Tripoli? August 26, 2014

The New York Times, citing unnamed American officials, reported that neighboring Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched airstrikes against Islamists in Libya twice over the past week.

The US and EU governments “strongly condemn the escalation of fighting and violence in and around Tripoli, Benghazi, and across Libya, especially against residential areas, public facilities, and critical infrastructure, by both land attack and airstrikes,” the statement said. (They tried to save the Airport from the terrorists)

But I digressed.

To understand and to try and figure out who these “willings” will be and how Lerch is making out, I turned to the foreign news sources. So let’s take a look at what the Turkish media has to say about how the so-called coalition is working out. How are our friends stacking up?

The header reads:  Arabs back anti-ISIL statement as Turkey abstains. Let’s look at how the words are parsed. Grab this one first:

Squabbling among Washington’s allies in the region has complicated efforts to present a united front to beat back the militants.

Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Egypt are at odds with Qatar and Turkey because of the latter two countries’ support for the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist groups in the region.

Egypt’s foreign minister, Sameh Shukri, emphasized that rift in his opening remarks, saying regional chaos is the result of a number of factors, including the tolerance of some in the region and the West with “so-called political Islam” – a clear dig at supporters of the Brotherhood.

Salman Shaikh, the director of the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar, said the Sept. 11 meeting was important because it signaled a U.S. reengagement in the region – something many Mideast allies feel has been lacking under the Obama administration.

“How the U.S. can play this role will be absolutely crucial,” he said. “It has to act as a keen leader for its friends and allies, but also act as a referee between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Iran, particularly when it comes to the issue of Iraq and the issue of Syria.”

Key Arab allies of the United States agreed Sept. 11 to “do their share” to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL),promising to take action to stop the flow of fighters and funding to the insurgents and possibly to join military action.

NATO member Turkey refused to join its Arab neighbors in their public pledge, however, signaling the struggle the West faces in trying to get front-line nations to set aside political feuds and work together against a common enemy, according to the Associated Press.

The announcement followed a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his regional counterparts in the Saudi Red Sea coastal city of Jiddah. His visit, on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, was aimed at pinning down regional allies on what support they are willing to give to U.S. plans to beat back the ISIL, which has seized large chunks of Iraq and Syria.

The meeting ended with Saudi Arabia, other Gulf states, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon pledging in a joint statement to stand against terrorism. They promised steps including stopping fighters and funding, repudiating the ISIL’s ideology, providing humanitarian aid and “as appropriate, joining in the many aspects of a coordinated military campaign.”

The first clip gives us a flavor of the meeting and a view of the lying characters involved. The short second clip is even better. No wonder no one wants to get involved in this nonsense.

John Kerry to CNN: U.S. Is Not ‘at War’ with ISIS

Published on Sep 11, 2014

CNN’s Global Affairs Correspondent Elise Labott caught up with Kerry during a summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Thursday and asked him if America is “at war” with ISIS, “because it sure sounded in President Obama’s speech that we were.

John Kerry: No need for “war fever” in ISIS operations

Obama’s wacko Libyan policy. Attacks UAE and EGYPT for trying to save Tripoli

It took two foreign sources to demonstrate this inane U.S. policy in Libya. First we have the fall of Tripoli. Of course to these animal primitives Islamic whatever. Obama was determined for the Muslim Brotherhood come into power. But it now gets worse. We do nothing. So UAE and Egypt take it upon themselves to try to rid Libya of these terrorists because they are bright enough to figure out they are coming their way next and wait, don’t we want the advancement of ISIS to stop? So pick up the next story  in which the U.S. and Europe condemns “outside interference”. Try and make sense of this one. Was it because Lurch was not told or involved?

UAE and Egypt behind bombing raids against Libyan militias, say US officials

US officials have claimed the United Arab Emirates and Egypt were behind several air strikes on Islamist militias in Libya last week, in what would be an escalation of a regional power-play between Islamists and opposing governments across the Middle East.

UAE pilots flying out of Egyptian airbases allegedly twice targeted Islamist fighters vying to take control of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, last week, several US officials claimed to the New York Times, and later to the AFP news agency. Speaking to the Guardian, a US official confirmed the reports were plausible.

The air strikes failed to stop Islamist militias from capturing Tripoli later in the week, announcing a new breakaway regime and forcing Libya’s elected government to flee to the eastern city of Tobruk.

US, Europe condemn Libya violence  -ED: Funny, I didn’t see this in the MSM

The United States and European allies have issued a warning on Libya, condemning the ‘escalation’ in violence there while cautioning against outside meddling. The group of nations called for an immediate ceasefire.

The statement, signed by the governments of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, warned that outside interference in Libya would worsen divisions and slow down any hope of a democratic transition in the country. (Chuckle time.)

Local media said members of the old General National Congress had agreed to reconvene at the behest of Islamist militias from the western city of Misrata, who seized control of Tripoli’s airport from rivals fighters from Zintan on Saturday.

The Islamist militias have attempted to tighten their grip on power in the capital after claiming the airport and forcing rivals to withdraw. The fighting began after the June elections, in which Islamist candidates lost the parliament, and renegade general Khalifa Hifter began a military campaign against Islamist-allied militias in Libya’s second-largest city, Benghazi.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama about to lose Egypt to Russia

Good work Hillary and Barack. After Egypt asked for the military support it was promised and never received, Sissi is moving on to Russia for support. I thought I would play a few of the clips and go down memory lane of another failed policy that now will turn one of our former allies over to Russia who has been licking their chops at getting back to Egypt after getting kicked out decades ago. (WordPress has been acting up, so here goes.)

MOSCOW (AP) — Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi arrived in Russia on Tuesday for his first official visit as president and was immediately shown a selection of Russian military hardware for sale.

Russia, through expanded military and economic cooperation, has been seeking greater influence with Egypt, an important U.S. ally in the Middle East.

The military hardware, including new armored vehicles and missile systems, was put on display at the airport in Sochi for el-Sissi, the former Egyptian army chief, to inspect upon his arrival, Russian news agencies reported. He “listened attentively” to explanations of the weapons systems’ potential, the reports said.

He then headed for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the mountains above Sochi, the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Obama Says Attacks In Libya And Egypt Are Just “Bumps In The Road”

This may be the first time in history that a President of the United States has called a terrorist attack against the country a “bump in the road.” (September 23, 2012).

Clinton tours Egypt’s Tahrir Square

Here is the final clip that says it all.

Barack Obama: The Writing was on the Wall

20 AL-JAZEERA journalists to face trial on terrorism charges in Egypt

When reading this I could only think of an old blog I had referred to the other day when good ole bro Malik Obama was settling into Yemen. No doubt our new semi-ambassador. While decrying that Egypt was kicking out the Muslim brotherhood and not following the “Democratic” process and accepting the election, our boy Obama was happy to let the Democratic process turn to dust in Yemen.

Obama’s personal role in a journalist’s imprisonment in Yemen:

Abdulelah Haider Shaye helped expose deadly US misbehavior in Yemen — and now the president won’t let him go free.

But his newest article – describing President Obama’s personal, direct role in ensuring the ongoing imprisonment of a Yemeni journalist  – may be his most important one yet; even for those inured to the abuses of the Obama administration, it’s nothing short of infuriating.

As we now know, on December 17, 2009, President Obama ordered an air attack — using Tomahawk cruise missiles and cluster bombs — on the village of al Majala in Yemen’s southern Abyan province; the strike ended the lives of 14 women and 21 children. At the time, the Yemeni government outright lied about the attack, falsely claiming that it was Yemen’s air force which was responsible.

Now, An Executive order seeks to punish U.S. citizens even for “indirectly” obstructing dictatorial rule in Yemen

Salon:

There seems to be little question that the Obama administration is devoted to imposing dictatorial order on Yemen through the use of force and liberty abridgment. As Scahill previously reported, Obama has played a direct personal role in the ongoing imprisonment of a Yemeni journalist who committed the crime of documenting thelarge number of civilian deaths from a U.S. cluster bomb attack on his country as well as exposing the joint lies of the Yemeni and U.S. Government. The latest U.S. drone strike in Yemen yesterday, even according to Yemeni officials, killed more civilians than alleged “militants.” The bombing campaign in Yemen now increasingly resemblesthe one conducted in Pakistan, though Yemen saw more drone strikes this month than any previous month in Pakistan.

Our imperial president decreed another executive order that should be making headlines, but of course, merely moves forward his agenda of limiting free speech. In a wonderfully written piece by Salon, the tale is told as to the objective of Obama’s edict. It is well worth the full read, and gives the past Supreme Court decision that gives him the boldness to do this.

What’s most amazing about all of this is how covert it is. What percentage of Americans even know that the Obama administration is continuously bombing and killing civilians in Yemen, or that American soldiers are now on the ground there in an advisory capacity?

Here is the live link to the E.O.: – http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/05/16/executive-order-blocking-property-persons-threatening-peace-security-or-

President Obama issued an executive order last May giving the Treasury Department authority to freeze the U.S.-based assets of anyone who “obstructs” implementation of the administration-backed political transition in Yemen.

The unusual order, which administration officials said also targets U.S. citizens who engage in activity deemed to threaten Yemen’s security or political stability, is the first issued for Yemen that does not directly relate to counterterrorism.

In other words, the U.S. Government will now punish anyone who is determined — in the sole discretion of the U.S. Government — even to “indirectly” obstruct the full transition of power to President Hadi. But what if someone — a Yemeni or an American — opposes Hadi’s rule and wants to agitate for a real election in which more than one candidate runs? Is that pure political advocacy, as it appears, now prohibited by the U.S. Government, punishable by serious sanctions, on the ground that it “obstructs” the transition of power to Hadi? Can journalists who report on corruption or violence by the Hadi regime and who write Op-Eds demanding a new election be accused, as it seems, of “threatening Yemen’s political stability”?

As it does with most U.S.-compliant dictators in the region, the Obama administration has since been propping up Hadi with large amounts of money and military assistance, but it is now taking a much more extreme step to ensure he remains entrenched in power — a step that threatens not only basic liberties in Yemen but in the U.S. as well.

Jeremy Scahill, who has reported extensively from Yemen over the last year, reacted to the news of this Executive Order this morning by writing: ”This Executive Order appears to be an attack on Americans’ 1st Amendment Rights and Yemenis’ rights  Full story oover at Salon

Now the story:

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt said 20 journalists, including four foreigners, working for Al-Jazeera will face trial on charges of joining or aiding a terrorist group and endangering national security – an escalation that raised fears of a crackdown on freedom of the press.

It was the first time authorities have put journalists on trial on terrorism-related charges, suggesting authorities are expanding the reach of a heavy-handed crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood since the military’s ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi on July 3.

A trial date was not set, and the full list of charges and names of defendants not yet issued. But they are known to include three men working for Al-Jazeera English – acting bureau chief Mohammed Fahmy, a Canadian-Egyptian, award-winning correspondent Peter Greste of Australia and producer Baher Mohamed, an Egyptian. The three were arrested on Dec. 29 in a raid on the hotel suites in which they were working.

Egypt to file criminal charges against Hillary Clinton

The upcoming trial of Egypt’s Morsi which is set to start next month, may bring a bounty of good stuff regarding our gal Hillary. Whether indeed the story that criminal charges will be filed against Clinton is yet to be seen. One thing for sure though, the many Egyptians who stuck out their neck to get rid of the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi in particular have to be seething at the abandonment of them, as well as the withdrawal of financial support because of the non-support of Morsi by our Muslim loving regime. Here we go:

NEW YORK – A threat to Hillary Clinton’s much anticipated 2016 presidential  campaign appears to be developing in Egypt where that nation’s government is  taking steps to criminalize the Muslim Brotherhood.

Specifically, a new criminal complaint has been filed with Egypt’s attorney  general, Hisham Barakat, alleging then-U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton  collaborated with Naglaa Mahmoud, the wife of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed  Morsi, in seeking to incite domestic insurrections to topple Abdel Fattah  el-Sisi, the Egyptian general who has been commander-in-chief of the Egyptian  armed forces, as well as minister of defense, since Aug. 12, 2012.

Researcher Walid Shoebat, a native Arabic-speaker and a former Palestinian  Liberation Organization operative, has reported  on his blog that credible news sources in Egypt have reported in Arabic that  criminal charges have been brought against Hillary Clinton and Morsi’s wife.

Muslim Brotherhood goes on trial in Egypt

WND first  reported in August that criminal charges have been filed against Malik  Obama, half-brother to President Barack Obama, for his involvement allegedly  managing funds for a terrorist organization based in neighboring Sudan as well  as for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

A criminal trial against former Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi is scheduled  to begin in Egypt in January 2014, with Morsi facing charges that he supported  the Muslim Brotherhood in acts of violence directed against the Egyptian  people.

President Obama is likely to be a subject in Morsi’s criminal trial given  evidence the Obama administration used to U.S. Embassy in Cairo to provide  direct financial support to key Muslim Brotherhood political operatives, with  the full knowledge and complicity of the Morsi government, as WND  first reported in August.

DHS Muslim Adviser: ‘Egyptian Coptics attacked by Muslim Brotherhood deserved it’

So Obama’s Dalia Moghaed blames the Coptic Christians for being slaughtered and over 80 churches burned?

DHS Muslim Adviser: Egyptian Christians Attacked By The Muslim Brotherhood Had It Coming To Them… Before we get to that:

And just who is she? Egyptian born and “veiled”, she conducted her first interview with notorious Jew-hater and America-hater Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s extremist Islamic website, Islam Online when appointed by Obama. From the post:

Cair plans to plant Muslim interns on key hill staffs  October, 2009

During this week’s broadcast, she described her White House role as “to convey… to the President and other public officials what it is Muslims want.”

The White House adviser made the remarks on a London-based TV discussion programme hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party.

The group believes in the non-violent destruction of Western democracy and the creation of an Islamic state under Sharia Law across the world. Ed: Right, this group believes in non-violence like the rest of them

During the 45-minute discussion, on the Islam Channel programme Muslimah Dilemma earlier this week, the two members of the group made repeated attacks on secular “man-made law” and the West’s “lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism”.

They called for Sharia Law to be “the source of legislation” and said that women should not be “permitted to hold position of leadership in government”.

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that “promiscuity” and the “breakdown of traditional values” were what Muslims admired least about the West.

Via IPT:

Dalia Moghaed, credited with helping President Obama draft his June 2009 Cairo speech about American relations with the Islamic world, recently downplayed attacks against Egypt’s Coptic Christians on a Facebook page.

More than 80 Coptic churches were burned by Brotherhood supporters after the Egyptian military’s crackdown last month on Muslim Brotherhood encampments in Cairo. A local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party appeared to sanction violence in retaliation for the Coptic Church’s backing of the Egyptian military.

Nonetheless, Mogahed pointed the finger at the Egyptian media.

“The Egyptian media took advantage of the Copts to achieve many personal/political gains, which has angered the West,” Mogahed said in a Sept. 22 post which appeared on the Facebook page of the Egyptian Americans for Democracy and Human Rights (EADHR).

The EADHR was founded by members of the Muslim American Society (MAS), which in turn was founded as an “overt arm” of the Egyptian Brotherhood.

Mogahed isn’t the only American Islamist tied to the Obama administration to slam the Copts on social media.

In a Sept. 15 Twitter post, Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Advisory Council, accused American Coptic activists of fanning hatred of Islam.

“For decade since 9/11 attack extremist American #Coptic activists have nurtured anti #Islam & anti #Muslim sentiments among AM RT wing,” Elibiary wrote.

In earlier tweets, Elibiary attacked American Copts for protesting against how their relatives in Egypt have been treated by the Islamists.

“Good read by @mwhanna1 on need to reform #Coptic activism in #US including stop promoting #Islamophobia,” Elibiary wrote Sept. 14.

“I think the Obama administration should be ashamed to have had someone like this in their administration,” said Michael Meunier, president of Egypt’s Al-Haya Party and a Coptic activist. “This underscores the thinking inside the Obama administration.”

Muslim Brotherhood official arrested, worked for Clinton Foundation

What is it about this love affair for the Muslim Brotherhood? Just in case anyone thought that Bill Clinton didn’t have his long fingers in the Egypt fiasco, one can forget it. The Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated all levels of our government, and apparently our regime wants the same for other countries as well.

A senior Muslim Brotherhood official who, until recently, had been employed by the William J. Clinton Foundation was arrested in Cairo on Tuesday and charged with inciting violence.

Gehad el-Haddad served as one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s top communications officials until Egyptian security forces seized him as part of a wider crackdown on officials loyal to ousted former President Mohamed Morsi.

Before emerging as a top Brotherhood official and adviser to Morsi, el-Haddad served for five years as a top official at the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit group founded by former President Bill Clinton.

Just a month after El-Haddad left the Clinton Foundation to work full-time for the Brotherhood, former President Morsi was invited to deliver his first major speech at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), the high profile political family’s other nonprofit.

El-Haddad gained a reputation for pushing the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamist agenda in the foreign press, where he was often quoted defending the Brotherhood’s crackdown on civil liberties in Egypt.

El-Haddad’s employment at the Clinton Foundation overlapped with his official work for the Muslim Brotherhood, which began in Cairo in February 2011 when he assumed control of the Renaissance Project, a Brotherhood-backed economic recovery program

El-Haddad regularly defended the Brotherhood’s authoritarian crackdown on civil society, even running damage control in December 2012 when Morsi supporters attacked women and children.

El-Haddad served as the Clinton Foundation’s city director from August 2007 to August 2012, according to his LinkedIn profile.
