Egypt re-starting nuclear program

What could go wrong with leading from behind? It is a Sunday, a bit of time perhaps to go down memory lane with our Commander in thief, Hillary Clinton and our former friend Mubarak. But first the story:

As  North Korea has demonstrated, an impoverished, an impoverished, starving  population is no obstacle to a determined leader desiring nuclear weapons.   So now, Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt, is committing  billions of dollars to re-starting the country’s nuclear program, a reactor that  could pave the way for nuclear weapons.

Yes,  nukes for the very same man who the US is supplying F-16 fighters to. The very  same man who leads a country that  is broke, where the foreign exchange reserves have dwindled to the point where  essential wheat imports for the staple, heavily subsidized bread that prevents  mass starvation for millions who could otherwise not feed themselves. Ariel Ben  Solomon of the Jerusalem  Post reports:

Earlier  this week, Egypt announced that it is seeking Russian assistance to revive its  nuclear program.

He  explains the possible motivations for this move:

It  seems to be a move by the Muslim Brotherhood-led government to solidify the  country’s position as a regional power,  as well as a way to improve relations with Moscow since Cairo has been facing  difficulties in getting aid from the International Monetary  Fund.

The  move could also be seen as a play to  increase Cairo’s leverage with the West so that it receives the aid it desires  without having to make too many concessions in  return.

On  the other hand, we also learn that:

Hamdi  Hassan, spokesman of the Brotherhood’s parliamentary caucus, said in 2006, “We  [Egyptians] are ready to starve in order to own a nuclear weapon that will  represent a real deterrent and will be decisive in the Arab-Israeli  conflict.”

Now the hypocrisy FLASHBACK: 2009 – Hillary Clinton Has A Most Wonderful Time Visiting Hosni Mubarak

Yes we sure know how to treat our friends don’t we?

President Obama and President Mubarak Speak to the Press
President Barack Obama and President Mubarak of Egypt address the press after meetings at the White House on the prospects of peace in the Middle East. August 18, 2009 Really very sad. Just take the first few minutes to watch, it gives a keen insight as to what a traitor looks and sounds like..

Finally a short clip that says it all and how we got to where we are:

John Kerry gives bucks to Egypt amidst violent protests

Last week I did a post regarding the growing unrest in Egypt, and the destabilization of the Morsi Government. The U.S. is committed to a Muslim regime. Now we hear that he is handing out $250 million as a down payment. I am waiting for the MSM to pick up the story.Add this storyline:

Now a plague of locusts literally swarm Egypt.

Egypt has festively gotten in the Passover spirit by enduring a swarm of millions upon millions of locusts. The locust plague struck in the Giza region, devastating agricultural areas 15 miles outside of Cairo. Here at MSN

US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Egypt, as major protests take place in several cities. Police used tear gas against protesters in the city of Mansoura. At least one person was killed and dozens injured in the violence.

Via Egypt Independent:

“There is US pressure on the opposition to support the Muslim Brotherhood, Washington’s allies in Egypt,” Yassin said. “The boycott puts Morsy in a predicament that the United States is trying to avoid.” –

Hamdeen Sabbahi and Mohamed ElBaradei of the National Salvation Front (NSF) will not meet US Secretary of State John Kerry during his visit to Egypt, said Heba Yassin of the Popular Current Party.

The United States insists on painting a positive image of President Mohamed Morsy, despite the criticisms and demands of the opposition, the political figures claim.

“I received an invitation and turned it down, and Dr. ElBaradei received an invitation and he turned it down,” Sabahi said in an interview with a local television channel. “We want to send a message that we reject American pressure,” he added.

Members of the opposition have accused America of siding with the Muslim Brotherhood, which they say is no different from the government of ousted leader Hosni Mubarak. The opposition says Washington is not critical enough of the Brotherhood’s methods of imposing power, including introducing an Islamist-backed constitution despite and opposition boycott, the Lebanese Daily Star reported. Keep reading…

A conflicting report from the Egyptian Popular Current said that four people were killed in the Mansoura clashes. That report was not confirmed.

Dozens of people were injured during the violence, which began when police fired tear gas at protesters, Ahram Online reported. Video footage from ONTV showed officers dragging and beating up a man captured during the demonstrations.

The situation in the city remains tense, and police units have been deployed to the area.

Kerry’s visit has been rejected by Egyptian opposition leader Hamdeen Sabahi and his colleague, Mohamed El-Baradei. The two men turned down invitations to meet with Kerry in Cairo. H/T: RT

Obama is opposed to Water Boarding, but apparently not so much the torture of children.

Egypt’s president Mohammed Morsi has called parliamentary elections for April, struggling to calm the ongoing protests and street violence engulfing the country. The opposition’s accusing Morsi of backtracking on reform promises and hijacking the revolution. Rights groups are reporting widespread police abuse and torture, resulting in the death and detention of minors. Bel Trew has been investigating for RT.

NSF leaders refuse to meet Kerry in protest against US pro-Morsy stance

While we have been so enthralled with the end of the United States as we know it come the sequestration, little attention has been made that Kerry has been running around the world making an ass of himself. Not only that, the disrespect has been returned in kind. I plan on a review of his activities over the weekend, but hope this holds you til then. Obama has made a real mess of Egypt. You might want to book mark the Egypt Independent newspaper. A good read to catch on what is going down over there.

Kerry is visiting Egypt early in March. It is his first visit to the country since he took over from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier this month. Kerry plans to meet with Egyptian officials to discuss regional and international issues.

US President Barack Obama had told Morsy on the phone that Kerry would meet government officials and opposition forces in an effort to encourage collaboration, and support the nation’s burgeoning democracy.

Christian boys in Egypt being tried for showing ‘contempt’ to Islam

Courtesy of Hillary Clinton, Obama and the Arab Spring.  As the Arab Spring descends into chaos, very little reporting of the Christian intolerance going down. But then again, as Obama said, “Just a bump in the road”. Video below. And Obama’s approval rating is close to 60 percent.

JERUSALEM – Among files on arrested converts from Islam, kidnapped Christian girls and beaten monks piling up on the desk of a noted lawyer in Egypt, on top is the case of two boys about to be tried for allegedly showing contempt of Islam.

Attorney Karam Gabriel said anti-Christian hostilities in the restive country are getting worse as the two boys are to be tried in a court in Beni Suef – the same city where a mother and her seven children were convicted last month for reconverting to Christianity – for showing “contempt to Islamic religion and insulting the Koran.”

The accusation against Nabil Naji Rizq and Mina Atallah (identified in some press reports as Mina Nadi Faraj), who were 10 and 9 years old respectively at the time of their arrest in late September, of insulting the Koran made headlines throughout the country after a man saw them playing in rubbish that he claimed included pages from the Koran. Accusing them of tearing pages of Islam’s holy book – a later version of the story had them allegedly urinating on it – he filed a report that led to the arrest of the two children. They were released in early October.

Angry protestors from Beni Suef reportedly intimidated Christian residents of the nearby village of Ezbat Marco at that time and prevented them from going to work.

Obama demonstrates in the video below his keen insight into what is going on with the terrorist’s attacks and the “democratic” future and  “Universal rights” of these poor souls. Meanwhile Egypt is in flames.

This may be the first time in history that a President of the United States has called a terrorist attack against the country a “bump in the road.” (September 23, 2012).

Vote Tally Count Rand Paul’s amendment to deny sale of F-16′s to Egypt

Anyone who voted to table this ought to be sent packing. A clear indication that their deep pockets are filled with the cash from the Military Industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about. Two posts today as I am traveling. In case you missed the DHS and their suggestion that we arm ourselves with scissors. The world sure in getting more and more bizarre. Add the hearing today of Hegel and we have to know the world thinks we have lost our  minds. Fox military contributors believe the 200 tanks are much more of a danger to Israel than the planes.. We have given them the fastest and greatest.

Rand Paul’s amendment “To prohibit the sale, lease, transfer, retransfer, or delivery of F-16 aircraft, M1 tanks, or certain other defense articles or services to the Government of Egypt” failed in the Senate today by a vote of 79-19.

Christianity ‘close to extinction’ in places: An Islamic Victory?

Christianity faces being wiped out of the “biblical heartlands” in the Middle East because of mounting persecution of worshippers, according to a new report.

As we wind down this year and the season of holiday cheer comes to and end, it is easy to pass by one of the biggest stories that was under reported. That being the attack on Christianity throughout much of the world. Let us keep our brothers and sisters in our prayers. Here we go:

The study warns that Christians suffer greater hostility across the world than any other religious group.

And it claims politicians have been “blind” to the extent of violence faced by Christians in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

The most common threat to Christians abroad is militant Islam, it says, claiming that oppression in Muslim countries is often ignored because of a fear that criticism will be seen as “racism”.

The report, entitled Christianophobia, highlights a fear among oppressive regimes that Christianity is a “Western creed” which can be used to undermine them.

The “lion’s share” of persecution faced by Christians arises in countries where Islam is the dominant faith, the report says, quoting estimates that between a half and two-thirds of Christians in the Middle East have left the region or been killed in the past century.

“There is now a serious risk that Christianity will disappear from its biblical heartlands,” it claims.

The report shows that “Muslim-majority” states make up 12 of the 20 countries judged to be “unfree” on the grounds of religious tolerance by Freedom House, the human rights think tank.

It catalogues hundreds of attacks on Christians by religious fanatics over recent years, focusing on seven countries: Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria, India, Burma and China.

State hostility towards Christianity is particularly rife in China, where more Christians are imprisoned than in any other country in the world, according to the report.

Google’s Schmidt considered for Cabinet post – Egypt’s best friend

The fact that latest reports are that Eric Schmidt will decline any cabinet position offer in the administration should not bring us any relief of concern.  I have done numerous posts on the direct involvement of Google and a number of his Executives in the various Arab Springs. Know for sure, Google is more than willing to help Obama with any spying desired. Now that the NSA case is back in the news, let’s take a look as well as his particpation in the Middle East debacle.

NSA spying on Citizens  Chilling video and story later in post: “The Program”. (By the way Schmidt and Google are working with the NSA).

Eric Schmidt and what he is about. What part does he play with the NSA

Eric Schmidt, Google’s executive chairman and former CEO, is reportedly on the White House’s list of candidates to either replace Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary or head up a new position to be coined something along the lines of “Secretary of Business,” according to The Washington Examiner. “Nobody’s better positioned for a Cabinet job, if he wants one,” a Democratic strategist told The Examiner. ERIC SCHMIDT, FORMER GOOGLE CEO: “My view of Mr. Soros is that he is one of the most important people in the world today in terms of the impact he has had”.

“What we shared is a belief in changing the world from the bottom up, not from the top down,” Obama told Google employees during a 2007 visit to its headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. Money CNN Didn’t Van Jones say something like that?

Three reasons to be wary of Google

Eric Schmidt, the former CEO, he is on the White House council for science and technology, co-chaired by John Holdren.

Second point — they are working with hard-core leftists. Eric Schmidt is on the board of an organization called the Politics of Trust Network. You might recognize a couple of other names on that board like Van Jones, oh, and Drummond Pike, the former CEO and founder of the Tides Foundation.

In 2010 the Google, Inc. charitable giving fund of the Tides Foundation gave over $145 million directly to nonprofits and academic institutions. Google has made donations in the seven figure range to Moveon.org. George Soros is doing that, too, one of farther left political action groups in America.

They also gave money to the Trickle Up Program, a big recipient of cash from the Tides Foundation and George Soros’ Open Society Institute. And speaking of George Soros, here is Eric Schmidt saying this about George Soros. ”My view of Mr. Soros is that he is one of the most important people in the world today in terms of the impact he has had”.Full story here at Fox News

The world’s governments are getting sick of google and its shenanigans.

Russia is getting tired of google as well:

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s deputy blamed Google Inc in an interview published on Tuesday for stirring up trouble in the revolution that ousted Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak.

“Look what they have done in Egypt, those highly-placed managers of Google, what manipulations of the energy of the people took place there,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin told the Wall Street Journal.  Reuters

We should be as well. First they are working closely with the government. They have a close relationship with the NSA. They work closely with law enforcement. Last year they signed a $27 million deal with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. I don’t even know what that is.

But they have been accused of receiving preferential treatment and a $6.5 million contract with the General Services Administration. They are working hard to bring net neutrality, the kind that like Free Press are advocating for.

Egypt’s former Hosni Mubarak: ‘So how do you like me now’?

So now the new Pharaoh Morsi of Egypt has done away with the court system. During the time of Mubarak, Mubarak contended with the courts and pushed tirelessly against Muslim Fundamentalism including the practice of Female Genital Mutilation. And he never outlawed the court system. Even Hillary and Barak embraced the Mubarak reign, with words of praise just a few short months before they decided to dispatch him. I have put together a collage of clips showing the absolute hypocrisy of Obama, and why only fools would ever trust us, even for a day. So let us take a look a the bad fellow Mubarak who had sustained a peaceful relationship with Israel, and stood by his word with the agreement of peace.

Now Morsi and the stone age return.

Egypt: Islamic supremacists pushing to legalize female genital mutilation. Jihad Watch

Islamic apologists in the West maintain that female genital mutilation has nothing to do with Islam, and that only greasy Islamophobes think otherwise. But eventually Muslims themselves get around to vindicating every last charge that greasy Islamophobes have ever made about Islamic belief and practice.

Let us review this evil dictator Mubarak and his wife. Not enemies of Israel and the United States. Who managed to keep the radicals at bay with often brute force, similar to the Shah of Iran, to stop the radicals who would have their country dissolve back into a 11th century state again. Who, with his wife, attempted to take on the Clerics and as an example, the practice of Female Genital Mutilation.

Egyptian women and the practice of Female Genital Mutilation:

A 2005 report by UNICEF suggested that 97% of Egyptian women between the ages of 15 and 49 who have never been married have undergone some form of FGM or circumcision. 6

An older meta-study on “female sexual castration” presented in 1989-MAR showed that five surveys conducted between 1977 and 1985 estimated that 80.5% of Egyptian women in Cairo and Alexandria had undergone FGM.

During Mubaraks tenure:FGM debate in Egypt:

Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi, head of the al-Azhar Islamic Institute, had stated during the 1990s that the practice is un-Islamic. The Health Minister of Egypt, Ismail Sallam, announced a ban on FGM in 1996-JUL. This was upheld by a junior administrative court in Cairo.

Sheik Youssef Badri, a Muslim fundamentalist, took the health minister to court. In 1997-JUN, an Egyptian court overturned the ban. Eight Muslim scholars and doctors had testified that the ban exceeded the government’s authority and violated the legal rights of the medical profession. Sheik Youssef Badri commented:

[Female] circumcision is Islamic; the court has said that the ban violated religious law. There’s nothing which says circumcision is a crime, but the Egyptians came along and said that Islam is a crime.”

The government appealed the case to Egypt’s Supreme Administrative Court. They ruled that the operation is not required by Islam, and that “female circumcision is not a personal right according to the rules of Islamic Sharia (law).” Thus, FGM is subject to Egyptian law. The government prohibited the procedure, even if it is done with the agreement of the child and her parents. However, gynecologists are still allowed to perform the surgery if it is needed for health reasons.

The BBC reported in 2007 that:

“Egypt’s first lady, Susanne Mubarak, has spoken out strongly against female circumcision, saying that it is a flagrant example of continued physical and psychological violence against children which must stop.” 7 Religious Tolerance Org

Obama thanks Egypt – earlier that AM, Morsi threatened Israel

Here we have an example of our foreign policy savant, Obama. Apparently he missed this briefing. Morsi prefers the demise of Israel. If we think we can keep buying off these countries to support our agenda, think again. 192 countries exist in the world, we give aid to 150.

But then again, what is our agenda in the Middle East?

Obama has  effectively destabilized the region. Jordan is next, that is for tomorrow’s post. Over one billion of our bucks each year to Egypt will not cut it for long. Here we go:

Not only did Morsi threaten Israel but they crowd he was speaking to started chanting about killing Jews . . . and Obama thanks him for it.

(Reuters) – U.S. President Barack  Obama called Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi on Friday to commend the country’s efforts to help calm the situation in Israel and Gaza and underscored his hope of restoring stability there, the White House said.

Egypt’s prime minister, Hisham Kandil, has said Cairo is prepared to mediate a truce in the growing violence between Israel and Hamas, the Islamist group that runs the Gaza Strip. Egypt’s government is allied with Hamas, but is also party to a 1979 peace treaty with Israel.

Previously:

Egypt will continue to support Gaza against continued attacks from Israeli armed forces, President Mohamed Morsy reiterated on Friday.

“The price will be high if the aggression continues,” Morsy said after he performed Friday prayers in Fatma Al-Sharbatly Mosque in Cairo’s Fifth Settlement.

“Egypt is different from yesterday,” he added, referring to his predecessor ousted President Hosni Mubarak’s soft stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

“We assure them [Israel] that the price will be high for continued aggression, and [we tell them] you have to bear the responsibility,” Morsy continued.

During Morsy’s speech, worshipers chanted: “Khaybar, Khaybar, Oh Jews, the army of Mohamed will return,” in reference to a historical battle fought between Muslims and Jews in Saudi Arabia.

“I say to those on behalf of all the Egyptian people that Egypt today is different from yesterday, and Arabs today are different from yesterday. I say confidently that Egypt will not leave Gaza alone,” Morsy said.

Morsi declares West’s freedom of speech ‘unacceptable’

Strange isn’t it. This sort of thing just doesn’t make the news now does it. We need to stop sending Egypt any money until they get the hang of it as to what we are about. O’Bummer needs to tell them to shut up or forget our money, and let them all devolve back to the stone age. Just my thoughts for the day. Of course, in truth, Obama will more than be happy to comply with Morsi’s request.

Via Daily Caller:

Egypt’s new Islamist President Mohammed Morsi on Wednesday used his first speech at the United Nations to demand curbs on Western free speech rights and “an end to all forms of occupation of Arab lands.”

Morsi also used his U.S. speech to push his revolutionary mix of Islamic and progressive demands that Israel be stripped of its nuclear weapons, that other countries bring down Syria’s government, that oil-rich Arab countries transfer wealth to poor Arabs countries and Western countries transfer aid and technology to Egypt’s government and poverty-stricken population.

Much of his emphasis was on Israel. “My duty [is] to support our Palestinian brothers and sisters … [by] putting an end to all forms of occupation of Arab lands,” he said in the speech.

“I call for immediate, serious movement, as of now, to put an end to colonization, occupation and settlements and the alteration in the identity of occupied Jerusalem,” he said, not specifying whether he considered all of Israel, or only the West Bank, to be occupied territory. [...]

Morsi began his speech with Islamic invocations.

“In the name of Allah, the compassionate, the merciful … [and of] the prophet whom we love and follow. … We stand opposed to those who oppose him and his way,” he said.

He called for “a new global economic governance,” an international arms control treaty to strip Israel of its nuclear weapons and for curbs on free speech by Americans and Europeans.

That demand for free speech curbs began with Islamic claims.

“What Muslims and [Muslim] migrants are going through in a number of countries … [such as] vicious campaigns against what they hold sacred, is unacceptable,” he declared.

Morsi reminds us that we are there to fight for his freedom, not so much ours.
