I woke up to hear what has to be considered good news for the GOP as well as the country. Finally perhaps we can have an adult conversation about our future. Good choice Mitt. Paul Ryan for Vice President

Ryan’s voting record is that of a RINO – not significantly different than Obama’s:
YES on TARP
YES on Economic Stimulus Act of 2008
YES on $15 billion bailout for GM and Chrysler.
YES on $192 billion additional anti-recession stimulus spending.
YES on prescription drug benefit for Medicare recipients —–>key precursor for getting socialized medicine in America!
YES on extending unemployment benefits from 39 weeks to 59 weeks
YES on Head Start Act
YES on No Child Left Behind Act
YES on making the PATRIOT Act permanent
YES on allowing electronic surveillance without a warrant
YES on emergency $78 billion for war in Iraq & Afghanistan
YES on Budget Control Act of 2011 to raise debt ceiling
All that’s different is the rhetoric, but that’s good enough for most people, sadly.
Ryan most certainly is an elitist, his wife is very connected with Big Pharma, he sold all his Citigroup stock after meeting with Bernacke and bought Goldman instead, and buddy did he personally profit.

Maybe its just my being a republican elephant so long, but I don’t forget stuff — like the Tea Party was set up to protest tools like this.

The insider trading scoop sounds pretty stupid. Selling CitiGroup and buying Goldman Sachs didn’t make money, and isnt’ making money today. So what? Congress is exempt by law from making any trades on anything they learn. Time to change the laws for congress on investing. How did Senator Reid become a multi millionaire after becoming senator?

I like the signal that Romney is sending by choosing Paul Ryan as the VP in this GOP campaign.
Yep, I’m on board with supporting the GOP ticket now.

Romney needs to come out swinging and not let the Dems get ahead of it in lies.

I am very pleased with this pick and I am glad he didn’t “play it safe” and choose someone like Pawlenty like I thought he would do. He chose a candidate whom he knew the left didn’t like and that took some political courage and for that Romney’s stock went up in my book.
August 12, 2012 at 6:27 pm
Oh the lies will come out. It is important for Ryan to describe and come out explain his program

What a positive note with Ryan … I’m surprisingly pleased and that’s a nice feeling!
Maybe this Army Officer Col. Terry will be re-instated: http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/08/army-officer-imprisoned-for-challenging-obama/

Thanks for the link. It will only get worse if the military keep at it.

This was a bold pick for Romney. Well done. There will be serious discussions about the economy now. Ryan is a very good speaker. And he doesn’t need a teleprompter. I can’t wait to see him debate ole Joe. What an awesome morning!

My thoughts exactly! Worth the price of admission. Consider it on my calendar!

I was never a big Romney fan, but he is what he is, he’s all we’ve got, and while I am 100% certain that he is infinitely better qualified than Barack Hussein Obama and will turn the direction that this nation is headed around, I wasn’t going to become too terribly enthusiastic until I saw who he picked to be his VPOTUS candidate. Now I am getting some enthusiasm!

Same here Fred. The let the Dems defend not creating a budget.

A serious pick. I am proud of Romney. Nothing against Rubio, but this is a serious pick that turns this election into a serious, adult conversation about our nation’s future, head on. If Romney loses, we are done as a nation, but at least we tried to have an honest conversation.
August 12, 2012 at 6:21 pm
Agree. If we go down, it was not for giving it our best to have the Dems reveal themselves.

I’m posting this in a comment on my blog…what a powerful video…thanks, Bunk; I think this is a fabulous choice, too!

Thanks Z.. yes indeed.

We the people are entitled to an adult discussion on the important choices being made for us by government spending and programs underway through Obama. The lack of clarity on understanding budget, and those invisible “new solutions” from Obama will become glaring failures under the spot light of Ryan’s pointed discussion of these issues.
August 12, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Finally they will have to come up with a plan in return. Thanks for stopping by.

Romney just went up a notch in my book. This the type of decission I would expect from a good corporate He picked a man that is smart, knowledgeable, and will be an effective contributor to the executive team. They complement each other in many ways. Romney is a big picture gut and Ryan is a detail guy. Romney is a bit of an elitest and Ryan is not. Ryan has been in Congress since 1999. He has no home or even an apartment in DC. He sleeps on a cot in his office and after the last vote on Thursday each week he heads home where his pick-up truck is parked at the airport waiting for him. men are devoted family men. Romney might have picked someone who would havebeen more helpful in the campaign to get himself elected; but he picked someone who will be a great asset if he is elected. Neither man is as bold as I would like them to be on policy; but, all in all I think we have a pretty good teaam.

Excellent analysis and I agree totally. It will be hard to not talk economics.
