So our man Obama was out on the stump this weekend. More said of course on the nasty people who employ others. Our savant demonstrates his keen insight into our economic system.
Hot Air has a link to the transcript that was released from some remarks he delivered last night at a fire station in Roanoke, Virginia.. Here is some of their post, and then I will move on to our gal Liz Warren. As soon as I saw it, I thought that sounded familiar. Didn’t I do a post on Chief Elizabeth Warren with the same lingo? Looks like this is the new attack de jour. First here is a bit of the transcript and comment, then a vid of our gal Liz.
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
I suppose this is the part where you remind them that when you jack up their taxes, it’s really just so you can give that money back to all the other people who actually built their business. But seriously, this is straight off the pages of Elizabeth Warren’s mind bending remarks from early this year.
Now, Ms Warren, September, 2011:
I hear all this, you know, ‘Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever. No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody.
“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did.
Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.” Hot Air
The video takes about 10 seconds to play…Liz is proud of her remarks and wants you to visit her site.

If you have a fake birth certificate, you didn’t do that. Somebody else made it happen.

This is getting old. Pot calling the kettle black.

WTF?Is there some kind of obscure law that says Dems have got to be dropped on their heads as babies?
That’s the only excuse I can come up with.
I remember many years ago, Dems were GOOD people, the the DNC took a HARD LEFT and Reagan Conservatives came to be. Today the DNC is too close to the Communist Party to call the difference..

It’s not my father’s democratic party. When they started calling themselves progressives is When the party ceased to exist.

1972, to be precise, was when the radicals hijacked the party. Not that I liked ‘em much before then.

What a cheap shot…man, I know PLENTY of people who ‘got rich on their own’….no amount of streets and education could have could have given then the idea or financed their company or helped them work 24/7…, trust me.
“Keep a big hunk of it”….she says if you do well? ANd then give a hunk to the next kid who comes along……….
they really buy the ‘sweetness and light’ of how that all sounds, don’t they. Then they vote.

I wonder when that so called hunk will ever be enough. Only when the state controls it all I presume. I have been in business and it sure was no picnic,

The problem with these people is they think every hard working American should have equal success. But life doesn’t work that way. Different types of employment pays better than others. It usually depends on the level of education or training needed for this or that position. I have had it up to here (pointing above my head) with their “fair share” and class warfare rhetoric. I have never seen a bunch of people thrive on negativity and pessimism like progressives do. This reminded me of song with Life Sucks in it. Progressives believe that life sucks because it is unfair and people work hard but don’t make as much money as a millionaire. But once the person achieves success and becomes a millionaire by working hard the liberals will label them as evil and claim that they’re not paying their fair share. Progressives just want to suck the money out of people. I found this song (wasn’t the song I was thinking of) which I think we could make the Democratic Party’s theme song — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3alOx1z0hE

Well, Obama said his failure was not telling enough stories, so I guess he went to chief Spouting Bull and got one!

And she was the one who was suppose to head up the consumer protection and whatever agency. She would be super great for business.

Someone needs to get an update to Liberal Campaign ScriptWizard 2.0.
July 15, 2012 at 10:31 am
Looks like his speech writers are having trouble finding something to write about!

Have we all noticed how animated Obama is — now that he’s campaigning?
I swear to you that he look like someone high on drugs.
Obama: “Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”
What else should we expect from a Marxist?
July 15, 2012 at 8:54 am
Now there is an idea. Let’s put Romney on drugs…or at least a bit of an upper!
July 15, 2012 at 8:31 am
Jim: A question if I may Mr. President. Who paid for those roads and bridges and the police and fire protection?
B.O.: Well, all those hard working American taxpayers. That’s who.
Jim: You mean those 50% who actually pay income tax and the 10% that pay 60% of the income taxes??
B.O.: Well, yes. Those that can must take care of those that can’t. It’s only fair.
Jim: Right. And where, Mr. President, did those taxpayers get the income on which they paid taxes?
B.O.: Huh…huh..
Jim: They got got it from the jobs provided by the producers, didn’t they Mr. President?
B.O.: Huh…huh…
Jim: You are really stupid, aren’t you, Mr. President?
B.O.: Huh…huh…
July 15, 2012 at 8:53 am
Well done Jim. You said it all.

You know, when I first read the headline from Obama’s speech the first thing I thought about was Lizzy. We’re on the same page I guess.
Isn’t it ironic that Lizzy lied about her heritage to get ahead in life and Obama may have called himself a foreign exchange student to get into college. and both of them have the nerve to tell others they couldn’t do it on their own?
July 15, 2012 at 7:31 am
You nailed it. Of all people to comment. Looks like he is recycling the same stuff as four years ago. He is one dangerous man.
