‘Law of the Sea’ treaty bad for America

I was stunned last night while watching Fox News at 6:00 pm. Exactly 10 seconds was given to this. They showed a clip of about 20 Navy men sitting around and looked like they were or had testified in a Congressional hearing with no context, nor what it was about. Simply there was a hearing on the “Law of the Sea:”. No panel discussion which usually occurs around 6:45. So Fox News has been told. Greta had Donald Rumsfeld on at later that night and gave an excellent analysis -no video. A massive redistribution of our wealth. What else is new? This video does the job I think.

(LOST) that is being pushed by the Obama administration. LOST rises from the dead every few years. For more than thirty years, the United States has refused to become a party to LOST for good reasons. But this could be the year that the United States surrenders its sovereignty over the seas to an international body if Obama gets his way.

Under this treaty, the U.N. would have control over 71 percent of the Earth’s surface. This would be a huge step towards global governance. The Senate may vote to ratify the sea treaty as early as next week. President Ronald Reagan rejected LOST back in 1982, stating it would grant the U.N. the power to tax U.S. companies and redistribute wealth from developed to undeveloped nations.
For the first time in history, the U.N. would have the authority to collect taxes from U.S. citizens. The thought of global taxation should send goose bumps down the spine of every American.

I don’[t get FOX lately…they leave a LOT of stories out. Of course, they’ve got nothing on CNN’s lack of reportage. I did have to laugh when they were talking about this immigration thing today and FOX said it wasn’t about politics and EVEN CNN’S CANDY CROWLEy and another Lib said it was ALL about politics…that was surprising!

As for this treaty? I WISH AMericans heard the details. This in and of itself is enough to not vote for Obama…isn’t it? I’d have thought so. And where the heck’s ROMNEY on this thing? Maybe they figure most of America’s not interested, but if they put it in the right words, they would be. WE ARE GETTING SCREWED and THIS IS WHY……how’s that sound? :-)

I really does figure that Fox didn’t give much attention to this.

I’ve quit watching Fox News on a regular basis. Too many important stories elided over.

I like Krauthammer, and usually try and catch that part at least. Blogging only goes so far!

  4. Steve Dennis Says:

Congress may not have to vote on it because Barack Obama will probably just implement it through Executive Order anyway.

Because Ban Ki-Moon totally needs another revenue stream.

Why anyone would think turning anything over to the corrupt torturers and rapists at the US is a good idea is beyond me. Anyone who votes for this should be tried for treason.

And of course they want to do this behind our back. I want someone to ask Romney where he stands.

It’s what they don’t report that ought to scare us.
My Senator, Bob Corker – check my site to see his pitiful “supposed” ignorance over LOST. He’s a republican, mind you, who’s probably going to support it. This is why political party makes no difference, look at their contributors. If they have one or more of the top 10 banks on their contributors list, you can count on them voting against liberty and for more collectivization every. single. time.

You caught a good video- I had seen it, highly recommend.

Not only does Obama support LOST, he also supports giving the UN control of the internet with ability to tax and he supports the UN’s Small Arms Treaty. My guess is LOST and the other items will be taken up during the lame duck session after the elections. Obama’s parting gift to America. What scares me is these only require Senate approval.

Do you know if it is a 60 votes or a majority?
