I hope we can take these signing statements to court, not that I have much faith in the court system at this point. But hope springs eternal. What is the purpose of having three branches of government? When I think there may be some hope for our great nation to return to its Founders principals, we are reminded of how far off the track we have come. Everyone, please watch the video.

You didn’t seriously think he was going to abide by the will of Congress, did you? Such is The One’s personal awesomeness that he can order the bombing of Libya without so much as a heads up to the legislature in advance. Surely he wasn’t about to be tripped up by a duly enacted bill that dares to cut off the money he uses for his auxiliary cabinet.
One rider – Section 2262 — de-funds certain White House adviser positions – or “czars.” The president in his signing statement declares that he will not abide by it.
“The President has well-established authority to supervise and oversee the executive branch, and to obtain advice in furtherance of this supervisory authority,” he wrote. “The President also has the prerogative to obtain advice that will assist him in carrying out his constitutional responsibilities, and do so not only from executive branch officials and employees outside the White House, but also from advisers within it. Legislative efforts that significantly impede the President’s ability to exercise his supervisory and coordinating authorities or to obtain the views of the appropriate senior advisers violate the separation of powers by undermining the President’s ability to exercise his constitutional responsibilities and take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”…
In other words: we know what you wanted that provision to do, but we don’t think it’s constitutional, so we will interpret it differently than the way you meant it. More here at Hot Air

I remember how he lambasted President Bush for his use of signing statements and promised he would not use them. Another broken promise I guess, when are they going to come back to haunt him?!

IF the GOP would just get their act together and do as Trump is doing… calling him out.

Isn’t this an impeachable offense?
Not that Congress will.
But I do say the following with conviction: if Congress doesn’t rein in Obama and return to some minimal principles of federalism, our Constitution is done for!

Republicans won’t object. They want the same perk.

Let him pay for his czars out of his own pocket. Can we stand another two years of Chicago style politics from this President?

And he has not met with most of his cabinet for the most part. A shadow government.

Interesting how a czar is now just an “advisor”. So does that mean whenever an “advisor” oversteps their bounds, we can hold Obama responsible? Sweet, let’s get to it!

Hey, I like that concept. These guys would never pass the light of day if people knew what these “advisors” were all about.

I guess he doesn’t want his minions to be cut off.

Why this is not headline news beats me. He is a dangerous man.
